Dear Dr,

Yes it is front playing flute also called Tenor.

It is a 3 piece instrument. It also comes in a few sizes, on the back top portion one hole is for the right hand thumb. which plays a crucial role to go to higher octaves. Which I have yet not got the hold of. I am playing and singing since last two years Sir.
