Solid interpretation and dynamics that are not often conveyed in this piece, but too laboriously slow of a tempo. I don't hear the pitter patter until mid-way through.
They're on - I just don't agree with the interpretation, go listen to the many string recordings. Maybe that's just my opinion but I believe when we take the classical lit to the marimba, we should take at least some (not all) of the original intent the composer was thinking of when writing for a specific instrument.
