There is no need to clearn anyhting up. There is a big difference between bigoted and preference and I was voicing my preference. You probably have preferences too. Blondes over brunettes, big chested over small chested, high voice over low voice. Whatever. It's your preference and noone judges. So unless you are unbelieveably hot, southern accents are deal breakers for me.

you can always become a deist. that way you can believe in god, and not have the baggage of religion. i see nothing wrong with that, except for the fact that there is still no evidence to believe in a god in the first place. but its definitely a good first step.

Well, that's not what I currently label myself as, but that's exactly how I currently think...lol. But if you even question the existence or divinity of Jesus, then you leave Deism and enter into Christianity. I'm still doing research on the whole Jesus thing.

Um, no. I don't really go by the Bible anymore, although there are a few good things to live by in it's texts (but we all know these are not directly related to religion). Most of my research is being done on Google for now.

I think people like yourself who actually honestly looked at the arguments and had the ethical integrity to follow what was the truth instead of what was easy, safe or convenient are very special! I would only advise you not to cut off freindships to simple theists because of your principled hard won knowledge but to allow folks to be themselves around you.
