Billie's interpretation of this song is exactly the way it should have been. It is a sad song and her voice by then was sad and to hear any other artist sing it is a disappointment. They can't capture the essence of the sadness in their voice.

As I have grown older I have come to realize, as Billie got older she got better.
When I was young, the young Billie was all I wanted to hear.
Now, later Lady, I have learned, is a true artist.

@bigeman25 She came into her own in the 1950s. Her voice was still full and controlled, and Norman Granz paired her with small combos that highlighted that supple range.
