your both rong it is the synthesizer circuit breaking down ! its a not so common fault on the ts570 5.505usb is the shanwick trans atlantic aviation weather

your right just got the rig back from the menders  i was bad solder joints on the resistor ladder network to the digital to analogue conveter on the sub pll sythersisor

what have you tried in diagnosing the fault. it sounds like your of Chanel. the ssb is an optional adding board if i remember well with this rig. so it could have drifted. stick it on frequency counter see what the figures are like think this rig shifts in 5hz increments and theres a fine tuner in menus try that not sure mind you.
