FIFA is considering the way the referee handled the match. I think to the detriment of Spain the referee did OK in keeping the match look fair. To be truly fair, we should have seen a match of 9 agains 11 at the end of the 1st half. And I think FIFA wouldn´t have liked that. Ik vind dat v Marwijk de sfeer wel goed houdt, maar hij heeft echt geen goed tactisch inzicht en waagt zich ook niet echt vaak aan nieuwe dingen en ook weigerd hij zich aan te passen aan tegenstanders.

Kijk, tijdens deze finale zag je in de 80e minuut gewoon dat Robben bijvoorbeeld totaal op was en de rest van de wedstrijd geen bal meer raakte, maar Kuyt werd eruit gehaald terwijl die eigenlijk praktisch onsloopbaar is en waarschijnlijk beter in het veld kon blijven (vind ik).

Bij van basten stond van der wiel er niet in, en van bommel ook niet, die toch zeker een bijdrage heeft gehad als captain in het nederlands elftal. Daar stonden respectievelijk boulahrouz en engelaar bij van basten.

En als je het over de ontwikkeling van spelers hebt.. gebeurd dat toch bij de topclubs waar ze spelen, niet persé door een bondscoach.

Dus op dat gebied ben ik het niet echt met je eens. Maargoed, Van Marwijk kan blijven als de resultaten zo zijn.

But this final could have been so much better, If only VDV played instead of De Jong and played attacking football, this should have challenged Spain.
