  • Looks like the guy is cringing more from the annoying pain that bar puts into the pelvic bone than from doing the actual exercise.

I found rolling a streching mat around the bar works well for getting optimal padding.

Dudes got that good docilimorphic bone structure which favors squatting movements.

  • Those hip thrusts are very effective to strengthen the gluteus maximus and the erector spinae. The gluteus get a totally different, better ,workout than when squatting.

Try it and you'll notice it the next day when just walking around. It feels like you can explode yourself forward.

  • Did he call the barbell the day after?

  • Hi

I always wondered if those hip extension helped for power clean/snatch because the biomechanic is the same???

  • @mister100m It would definetely benefit as a general exercise to greatly strengthen your posterior chain without wearing out your CNS.

  • you should learn better form and do less reps

  • what sport is this for?? baseball??

  • @alwayzAngry Its for sexy times..

  • @StrongGym [facepalm] of course!!

  • @alwayzAngry hehe, lol!

  • i'd feel like a total dumb ass doing that exercise in the gym...

  • back is definitely rounding on those squats...work on that

  • ouch looks painful as hell...wouldnt rdl s help the same?

  • @cheesedips The load is completely different and you actually recieve a much higher amount of glute activation.

  • what is this exercise for? does it help increase squat?

  • @Danielote12276 It helps increase the strength of your posterior chain to help with your squat and deadlift.

  • Those hip extensions are a really cool exercise Will.
