1 moment in this game made me like it, i was on my way to that city that your Dad (the gym leader) is in, and a ralts appeared and, knowing the storyline from previous playthroughs, i knew that it only appeared if your pokemon 'loved' you, you might have guessed i was pretty happy when i caught it, BEFORE wally did it.

When I caught Kyogre in Emerald, I had Kyogre asleep with 1 HP left, my last pokemon with 23 HP left, and I forgot to save. I was down to my last Pokeball (It was a normal Pokeball), and CAUGHT IT. I'm not kidding. :O
