  • thats my mom

  • shes misinformed, sadly...

  • @Gameboob What is she misinformed about Gameboob?

  • @Citizen6935 You can build up the integrity of your teeth, that's what she doesn't mention and undoubtedly doesn't even know about. Eating a nutrient-dense diet keeps the bones, teeth, organs, muscles, etc in the body functioning at peak capacity. When this happens you can live free of degenerative diseases (and cavities are the result of unhealthy teeth.

  • @Gameboob A person can be health conscious and still develop a health problem despite their best efforts.

  • @Citizen6935 Of course, even if one understands a lot about health as long as they're not living healthily they can still develop health problems.

    ...

  • @Citizen6935 But assuming you didn't mean it that way...

A person can think they have a truthful justification for their beliefs (and thus probable knowledge), yet those justifications can be incorrect. In this case that is what has happened. I'm acquainted with the side you're coming from, AND the side I'm coming from. You CAN live without degenerative diseases, you just need to know what to eat, and how to live---or, to sound less controlling and restrictive, how NOT to live.

  • @Gameboob I've met many people who have your beliefs about the subject. I'm not saying that you're stupid but you are wrong. Talk to any medical professional and maybe they will take the time to explain the FACTS of health to you. Your beliefs are popular because it makes people feel good, like religion and drugs. You can do everything "right" and still develop a health problem.

  • @Citizen6935 No thanks, I'd rather keep my health.

  • @Gameboob Of course you want to remain as healthy as possible for as long as possible-who wouldn't. The part where you are wrong is that it's all just a matter of following a list of do's and don'ts but that's just not the way it is. Genetics/heredity is a big part of the picture. Many health conscious people have developed terrible diseases at a relatively young age and many who do everything wrong live a long and relatively healthy life.

  • @Citizen6935 You've got a point with the genetics part. But that's because nutritional choices impact our health and consequently our genes. The healthier your diet, the healthier your genes, the healthier your children, the longer they live. It's called epigenetics.

    ...

  • @Citizen6935 You say you know people who think like I do. What do they suggest we eat, and abstain from eating? Because either you haven't listened to them fully, or they can't explain themselves very well, or most likely, they don't believe the same things I do.

  • crap i have 2 cavities
