Calm down on this price, damn. Stealth is putting out top quality ebikes that smoke every other ebike being manufactured. It's NOT about economical value, it's about wealthy folks having a BLAST on something they can't get ANYWHERE else. You're damn right Stealth isn't going to sell them for $100 over cost.... If you want economical ebike look for a China kit on ebay and assembly it yourself. I do agree that a manufacturer should come out with the "Ford Model T" of ebikes....

10g is a bit steep but in Oz you can get a bomber for 8800 and a fighter for 6600 - (a dual suspension pedal only bike costs 3k+). Pretty reasonable given the high price of batteries, the components used, the GST, high rents, wages (they manufacture in Oz), high shipping costs.

Well done! Great to see an Aussie manufacturer. One of few products that Aussies aren't being ripped off on. Best value for money, compared to the US and EU alternatives.

Looking around I see it's almost $1000 to get electric power for bicycles that would barely excite the population of the local old age home. You know whats bullshit about electric bikes? Or at in my state this is true. My state allows it, but some towns don't allow it. I don't know if this is the case in other states or not. @vistigioful depends wher you are. The bikes now have a limiter, so you can flick a switch and drop the power to 200 watts which is legal for majority of places without licence or registration

Yes, that price is somewhat (mostly ) prohibitive. But if you look at it from ownership cost perspective, it's not that bad. Still high though, but not that high... lol. Those bikes have some high end downhill parts in them and good downhill bicycle itself can run 6-7K, and that 1.5kW/h battery is close to 2-3K. At this point electric bikes still a hobby, not a mode of transportation. And even then, with rare earth material cost, price will not go down much. The only offset is rise of oil price

Price of the stealth fighter is around $6500 and the stealth bomber is $8500 so in other words unaffordable to most of us. Make your own for about $1500. It's the battery that's expensive. A lifePO4 batt is about $1000, motor around $450 then a cheep bike.

That's the problem for MOST people. Here we have a great system but whoever set the asking price for these bikes decided to slam people hard merely because the earning potential was there. Whereas, had they decided to sell them for a lot less they would have a much larger customer base and overall following, not to mention return customers for a LONG time to come.

It's always about MONEY though :(
