great post. love the size and detail of the model. How long did it take to make it? do you find it is more forgiving because it is so big that wind gusts do not effect it as much? Awesome flying skills BTW...

Hi, it took me about 1200 hours in total to build. It is quite stable but the size can be a bit intimidating. I do not fly it when its above force 4, as I am not comfortable. Thanks for your comments. Cheers. JJ

Perhaps a more experienced pilot could get it to do a little more than just some broad sweeps 10 feet off the ground. Nice model, though.

@synthuser Thanks for your post, however please do keep in mind that, like myself a pilot flying such a model will fly it to his liking in that I enjoy flying my model at close proximity simply because I enjoy them better especially when I can hear, smell and feel (the heat) of the turbine's power!! :)

@synthuser Clearly this guy knows how to fly. It wasn't like he was bobbling all around trying to keep the heli level like a beginning flyer. His conservative flying looks to be more of a function of protecting his expensive investment. These turbo engines aren't cheap!
