  • And yet... What's the problem if it looks like childish thing?

It's cute, and many people like cute things; it's a nice art and people with culture appreciate this.

1000 stars, I really love Japanese art.

  • @ MissGoldeelocks

    yeah..i agree with u...

  • i want to own this painting but the websites arent in english... haha love the crazy cute cats

  • lovely

  • the paint is smooth x]

  • I think the only reason why this guys videos are getting so many views, is 'cause its in japanese and apparently Youtube is the Mecca for japanese lovers now. I agree with the comment before me, it looks like a childs drawing. if you saw this in english first, this video would NEVER in a million years have this many views or be on the front page.

    Hey wait, you don't seem to understand that this is a tutorial for new year's card..(-_-;

I bet many japanese people watched this for a reference for their new year's card to have it ready to send by new year, that's all.

And what he is drawing is NOT A REAL TIGER but A FOLK ART TOY TIGER made of paper with shaking head.

In addition to say, in japan sometimes this folk toy is compared to what looks strong but is empty inside, JUST LIKE your speculation BASED ON NOTHING!!

  • Btw those "Russian folk dolls" are called Matryoshka dolls.

They could be drawing a TRADITIONAL JAPANESE NEW YEARS TOY and look better than that. All because it wasnt a 100% realistic tiger doesnt change my oppinion that it looks like a childs drawing :/

  • im sorry but i think it looks like a drawing of a child...but its nice xDD

  • no it doesn't

  • @Lirisiri

What he is drawing is NOT A REAL TIGER but A FOLK ART TOY TIGER made of paper with a head shaking...

  • what kind of paint and paper is this?

    great vid too :)

  • I think it's painted on Shikishi board (pre-mounted rice paper board) with Japanese painting colors.
