I LOVE this song... The questions that you can hear in Jakuri's voice, the determination and care in Croix's voice, and the feel of hidden love being released as the song weaves on.

At first, I didn't know just how much Mir put into this song. This song, this love, is everything she's dreamed of since birth. Croix is basically telling her "Sing with me. Not to do battle, or heal a wound, But to just... Sing. I'll stay with you, so we can sing together."

Even past that, Croix is basically stating his love in the most pure way possible, the language of emotions. He learned a language many can only learn phrases in, just for her. He's basically saying that he doesn't CARE about their different lifespans, and just wants to spend each day with her.

Anyway, I'd like to say one last thing. I'm starting to wonder if making a cover of this with my girlfriend would be a good idea. Any ideas of how to get an instrumental of this song?

I think one thing that really struck a chord with Jacqli about this song is that it's a hymmnos song that isn't a code to activate a machine, or a spell for war, or altering a reyvateil, or summoning a personification of your soul to do yours or someone elses bidding. It's just a song; something she wanted to do in the beginning.

OMG!! This the most beautiful love song I have ever listened to. Thanks for posting. I know who the guy singing is, but who is the girl singing? Is it one of the two reyvateil girls singing? I didn't get to play the game to the very end. Only to the part where the characters slipt up and Croix has to choose who he is going with. So I haven't got to see the part of the game with this song. Or at least I don't remember if I did or didn't. lol. :)

Everyone can sing, but only the Reyvateils and Moon Chanters (Tsukikanade) can invoke magic doing so, unless you use some supportive technology (such as the Carillon Organit from Spica's Musical).

A brief line in Ar Tonelico reveals that the male Y-chromosome prevents the Reyvateil gene from expressing.

Croix is just singing to express his love. He can't get the tower to do anything for him (since without the Reyvateil gene he can't biologically sing Dynamic H-waves), and I doubt he knows what the hell he's singing in Hymmnos.

Nope. You're confusing the knights of the Grand Bell with the Platina ones. Croix only learned the download spells because Laude showed it to the party when downloading the Metafalica hymn crystal, while the Platina knights, since they work directly under Shurelia's orders, they have to learn some Hymmnos to be able to open up the dividing walls and other basic functions, but they are never taught enough Hymmnos for making a song.
