Your dynamics could use far more contrast, although it could be the positioning of the mics. It does sound a bit flat-line. I played this piece with the CalArts percussion ensemble at a dedication to John Cage at the Modern Museum of Art in LA.
Sucks? And this coming from a guy that favorited Stevie B? I can not take you seriously, sir.
Also, when you put up a video of Third Construction yourself, or even something that you made with "groove" or "f****ng character" yourself, then we can talk.
i do not think that when you want to relax you listen to liggeti or boulez !!!!! so , stevie b or stevie wonder or the other favorites that i have added are pretty ok . instead of asking me why i said so , all you did is attack me ..... ok then !!! sorry if i offended you . please be more open minded ( not offending for you-ican't find another word to describe it from greek in english)
Your first words of your original comment are "it sucks ...." I don't really understand how you expected any other response than the one you've received.
Also, Liggeti and Boulez are completely different composers than John Cage. I don't see the connection that you have presented there.
I am very open minded, but when you blatantly disregard an interpretation of a work without backing up your opinions I have no choice but to disregard you.
Some of Player 1's parts are arguably too soft. I know they are marked "Piano," but it's important to remember to play according to the ensemble setting...in this case, a quartet.
Some people call it music.
I call it schizophrenia.

Still, VERY fine job. Really well done.
