I look at these cars with the vision the day they were new in the car lot with the stickers in the windows. I just hate to see cars get crunched, especially when they are in better shape than many people are driving. The"cash for clunkers" program still makes me want to punch Obama right in the chops.

@HubSwitch the worst problem is chinese nonecological production, also producing lots of shit quality products that last for half a day, I have a 20 year old screwdriver and I do literally everything with it, a standard "modern" screwdriver will last for a week or two days, and don't think I use car to drive everywhere with it - I need it for transportation, and when I worked in an office I used a bicycle, I'm not saying that the current situation should last, just it needs a lot more changes

My friend who had it said the computer went out three days after he bought it, and the front end wouldn't stay aligned, the starter died, then the clutch went out. I don't know what time frame this all happened in. As for the Escort, the engine self -destructed at about 50 or 60,000 miles. She looked into having it fixed, and the mechanic told her it was ruined. I THINK it jumped time and bent the valves.
