  • Top tip, means that even i can do this neatly now. Thanks.

  • thanks a lot, chief. very useful. i've bookmarked this.

  • Great video, i'd never guess to pull it under water before applying on my own,

  • @De1acroix

I've had success getting dust off using liquid soap on the freshly taken off film also (the small speck that looks like a mountain). The water does no harm as theres no sticky adhesive involved. The water helps to float the air out..

  • dude you make it look so easy, but its a fucking pain in the ass

  • @chucky362

It can be done, you have a better chance this way I hope..

  • good one!

i was like wtf is he doin wettin up the cloth!

u made me eat my words lol!

  • @toyz8ntus

lol, I've got a water/dust resistant phone now and freak people out by washing it under the tap hehe (warning: do not try this at home)..

  • I wasted 60 dollars because every one of mine had dust, fingerprints and airbubbles i had to buy 3 packs and i am using my ipod without a screen protector

  • @ZerthonGT

Hmm they're not cheap, hope this helped..

  • hahahahaahahah

  • @nauris98

    lol?

  • Thanks really helped :D cheers

  • @thatshawboy

    No problem :)

  • I ended up screwing mine up in anger because i had too much dust on mine.

  • @jayuzumi

    hmm, try again..

  • Does some of the water not stay between the protector and the phone and go a bit dirty and disgusting over time?

  • @nickk5963

None of the water is left over because it's squeezed out with the card.

  • May I ask what kind of HTC it is?

  • @Raptorfy

It was a Desire from a few years back..

  • when i took the second tab of the entire screen protector came of

  • @wilfredc190

You maybe lifted it straight up instead of peeling it, its like any sticker you have to raise a corner..

  • @girlsdrinkfeck was it an iPhone or another type cause I find the people I know that have dropped there iPhones the screen protector actually holds the screen together and when they peel it off it ruins it

  • thank you so much, you can even tell i have a screen protector on, very helpful thanks!!

  • @woooooooooooow1

    Pleased that it helped..

  • So easy! But it helped me alot. Thanks from the netherlands!

  • @codheriox

    cool, you're welcome from Oz

  • screen protectors = rip off scam ,glass on phones are VERY vERY hard to scratch i used keys on mine no marks

  • @girlsdrinkfeck

Wear and tear will deteriorate the glass after a while. Its like a car windscreen, happens slowly... Lol don't think I'd take to my screen with keys to prove a point :)

  • @benjd000 trust me ,i got a glass screen phone from 2009 ,there isnt one single scratch or blemish on the screen its as shiny and smooth as the phone i got this year

  • @girlsdrinkfeck

Fair enough, you have a tough one.. I've seen scratched screens :)

  • @girlsdrinkfeck Screens might be tough, but why not be sure? and besides it keeps those annoying smudges off, at first I didn't use a protector, and smudges were harder to take off, but with my screen protector I can just wipe the smudges straight off....

  • wont the water ruin my 3ds screen?

  • @AtomicFAILMediaTV

If you're not sureI wouldn't recommend it for you.

  • @TheAverageGamer0123

    Thank you

  • I jumped from my chair when he trhew water in the screen protector, but it worked really well.[

  • @caio242424242424

    Lol.. yes it does :)

  • Thank you VERY MUCH.... I had like 20 air bubbles the first time I tried on my Xperia, but now its perfect....

  • @champion1642

    Happy it worked for you...

  • can somebody who used this method look at their screen under an ENERGY SAVING light bulb because this has a weird effect on mine :(

  • @The786legend

Hmm, I've never come across that (all enerysavers at home). Basically once the protectors fitted there is no more water between the screen and film so there might be a problem with your film.

  • @The786legend I just checked my screen it's fine... which phone are you using?

  • @champion1642 Its a Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S. I think it must be my screen protector. I came with a case a bought of eBay and when I look at the phone under an energy saving light bulb (not an ordinary lightbulb), it has a weird effect on the screen. However, this technique is great and I got the SP on without any bubbles!

  • Dude, when I saw this I thaught whtf, i'm not putting the protector under water...

So I try to put the protector nicely over the screen over and over again, and always I have bubbles.

Now I putt the protector under water, I putt it on the screen, and pressed all the water out with a townl and IT WORKED! It actualy works!!!

It's more easy to squeese out the water (behin the protector), than the air and dust...

    THANKS MAN !!!!

  • @jessevds1

What put me onto this was the method they use to put on window tinting. Glad it worked for you..

  • Thanks for the help dude, it worked so well, the water is clearly the trick! tried this years ago without water a really cocked it up! - this put me off for sometime! but now i am converted! Cheers

  • @maidstone22

Great that it worked for you.

  • Gotta love the Desire... Ugly, but really reliable :D

  • Thank u so much!!! This is the best trick for my tablet it really help me out... Thanks again!!! ^_^

  • @lizclaiborne2003

Glad it worked out on the tablet :)

  • So you don't have to dry your screen after you've cleaned it with water? Won't the water dry up and leave stains under the screen protector?

  • @morphinglight

The water normally is pushed out leaving just the direct connection between screenprotector an screen :) Never had issue with watermarks..

  • @benjd000 THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH!!!! I tried putting on a screen protector 3 times, and failed each one, the i tried your method, and it WORKED!!!

  • @brettkx100

Well done, yes its the only way I fit them now.

  • @benjd000 i just put it on the day i commented, and i have to change it like next week cause within a few days the whole screens scratched haha

  • @brettkx100

lol, yeah I've had my keys do nasty things to a protector once, made me happy I had it on..

  • thanks man its the perfect method!

  • @thepwnbringer Thanks, you're welcome.

  • Well i did it thanks !.

Dust is your enemy here. First attempt total fail with 3 spots of dust in the middle of the screen ;-( Hit it again but this time much faster getting it on the screen and with a little bit more water and success !

  • @fredintheshed1 Hey thanks for giving it a go, it's cool when it works and theres no dust. One spot really stands out..

  • Ok iam going to give this ago in a while.

  • Thanks, the best method :D

  • @Summerflap

    It's never failed me yet.

  • yeah! thanks it worked fine! I was losing my head with this

  • @enteroutside

glad it worked for you.. it rarely fails..

  • Yes! It worked

  • @jrhj19942

    Cool, glad you had success

  • Thanks you'r a genius:-D you'r video helped me out ALOT

  • @TheJwdude

You're welcome, happy it worked for you.

  • This is a great video! Thanks! I also use this technique but after I shake the water off I use a spray bottle (fine distribution) from a distance to cover the screen protector again in water and immediately place it on the screen. Than off course I press the water out with a card and paper tissues to absorb the excess water, align it and done =) . Also don't underestimate the amount of water to be pushed out because it's a lot but can't harm the device as long it is properly handled.

  • @ultrafloss492

Thanks for the tips, agree with the amount of water warning just be sensible an its not an issue :)

  • Comment removed

  • You are a genius. It worked perfectly for my 4g my touch... thanks!

  • @TheNerdguy16 :) thanks for trying it out..

  • does anybody know how to remove this terrapin screen protectors? got them on my HTC 4 months ago but I can't see anything :-/

  • @miiinaaable lol if you can't see it why remove it :)

  • @benjd000 because i have some scratches on my display.. i just want to change it :-( and yes! i m pretty sure that i put them really on

  • @miiinaaable I'm sure terrapin protectors the same as all, just lifting an edge and if its hard to get at, I'd be trying a razorblade to lift it then just pull the rest..

  • Nice video man, worked perfectly! Thanks

  • @cyphr6 Cool no problem

  • you dont have to worry about water getting into ur phone. its just on the screen and i highly doubt its getting ino any openings

  • @7waterd

    Yes :) hardly an issue..

  • look bro if you want your phone to work anymore why not just drop into the damn sink

  • @walkingwithscissors1

Hahaha I have never lost a phone to waterdamage.. Do you ever use your phone when it is raining? More chance of rain dropping down the headphone jack that way, or maybe have it in your pocket on a humid day an raise a sweat hmm, maybe taking your phone into a steamy bathroom list goes on...

  • Hey man thanks that worked really well!

  • @TheNightKiller76

    No problem :)

  • unbeleveble

  • @Ashfaqlive

    hehe believe it :)

  • @branden008

Not once have I had a waterdamaged phone :).. Do you ever use your phone when its raining?

  • 3:52 Fail :D

  • @Henale2309

    LOL

  • Are you from new Zealand or Australia?

  • @PullipLuver Melbourne Australia

  • @benjd000 OMG thats where I live! well lived. I live in Singapore now for 2 years but Im going back soon :)

  • i don't think i'm comfortable with putting water on my iphone

  • @therealalexrider

maybe try just the damp cloth and squeeze it out thoroughly and don't wet the protector. As long as you don't squeegee the water to the openings that should be fine. .

  • Sigh, as usual, I get something that needs one, I find a video, I do exactly the same and I FUCK IT UP.

    EVERY FUCKING TIME.

  • @andethan

Hmmm maybe get a friend to help

  • If I had known it was this easy ....

  • @zaphodes

hehe well I'm all for easy

  • thanks alot man really helped :)

  • @shibudharmarajan

cool, glad you had success :)

  • WORKS GREAT THANK YOU VERY MUCH ,, YOUR THE ONLY VIDEO THAT WORKED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @lilsam1117 Thats cool, thanks :)

  • great video man

  • @SMG4LIFE01 Thanks :)

  • This worked great! Thanks for the tips.

  • @supraturbo63 cool, glad it helped..

  • Tap water + microfiber cloth + screen = streaks.

DON'T use tap water, just use it dry...

  • @NateN34 :) Not a streak here, guess it depends on your water quality...

  • i didn't fucking work !! now my fucking screen is full of fucking bubbles x(

  • @MegaRazvi Sorry to hear that, you can try it again by lifting a corner using tape (stops bending the protector).. The bubbles are usually dust, which comes from the air or the cloth you use to clean the screen. The lint is that small but yeah causes no end of drama.. If you take the protector off, I've sometimes washed it thoroughly with soap an flushed with water to rid the foreign objects off the plastic. Then start again. or the best method, try a new one.

  • @benjd000 oh , well thank so much for your advice , i've never thought about soap . :)

  • wont it mess up your phone if water is applied?

  • @speedstacker136 Be careful to shake excess water off the screenprotector, really it should only have a few tiny drops on it, DO be careful to push the water bubbles towards the edges where there is no ports/openings. In the end most phones are exposed to more moisture in your pocket.

If you aren't sure about it, I'd recommend to do it with the dry method :)..

  • This worked perfectly, thank you! :)

  • @EmmaChrissie You're welcome :)

  • IT WORKED ! THANKS A BUNCH !!!!!

  • @XmasBuddy Cool, glad it did. It's never failed me yet.

  • Great tutorial!

  • @macintoshgermany Thanks, glad you enjoyed

  • I did this on mine for my HTC Wildfire S, and i can't even see the screen protector on my phone! I'm starting to question myself whether its actually on there because i have no bubbles at all and i really can't notice the difference. Obviously it must be on there because its not still stuck to the 2 sides which you remove and i'm too chicken to try scratch my phone just incase it isn't actually on there!

  • @SugarPlumCheese Cool, done well then. I'm glad mine worked, the other day i got a great scratch from my keys in my pocket (yeah silly move), but simply changed the cover and all new :)

  • This works great. This is the first time I have done one of these without 100 air bubbles and a mess. Perfect. Hope this method works the same way on my IPAD because that is a tough one.

  • @robertw477 Hey glad it worked ;)... It should work the same with the iPad, just be careful not to push the water near the top/bottom where the ports are in case it activates that "waterdamage" indicator.

  • will it affect the screen because it's wet?

  • @harrychristianz

No the water is minimal and is like a lubricant, it is squeezed out and whatever is left can be pushed out in the form of bubbles..

  • @benjd000 i tried it but there is bubbles every where

  • @harrychristianz Just slowly an carefully work the bubbles out with a plastic card

  • @benjd000 WOW! thanks i had a big mess with my screen protector and this video helped me to ALOT less bubbles thanks! (subbed)

  • @RPGGaMer1000

    cool thanks :)

  • nice

  • thank you :D

  • @98thedarkknight

    You're welcome :)

  • thanks. I tryed to apply a screen protector but ... so I saw your video and all was happy!

  • @Multiburatino

:) glad it helped. Nothing worse than bubbles and dust under the film.

  • @benjd000 yea

  • @benjd000 i put mine on and get this theres one peice of dust smack in the center but u can only see it in like super bright light and im to lazy to take it off lol

  • @xXxXAssassin

lol yeah hate that, I'm terrible and once it's seen I focus on it constantly so much I have to change it.. PS. I've had success taking the film off and gently washing it off with a little liquid soap using fingers, rinse clean an dont touch.
