  • Wooow like this video is great enjoy

  • Now where's my mojo?

  • I wish i could have been part of this.. Amazing!!!

  • How dare some of u people disgrace mr.bob fosse! Why don't u try doing it! It's really hard!!!!!

  • habia escuchado de Dulce Caridad pero jamas imagine de este genial montaje

  • The men are fantastic in this piece--the tight suits and the frilly sleeves, priceless.

  • Weird, sexy, zany, beautiful. Amazing.

I approve of you greatly Bob Fosse, and may you be famed for your forever.

  • I really want this FULL song. Any idea how to get it???

  • I'm glad this clip has hot the whole thing in it. We are doing a similar style dance at dancing at the moment

  • Suzanne Charmy hands was amazing in The Aloof doing the frug

  • I love all the song and dance in Sweet Charity, Fosse was a genius supported by Verdon the greatest Dancer. The movie had one of the greatest casts including many great dancers and the greatest actress of all time (cos she done it all so well) Shirley flanked by Rivera and Paula Kelly. Could well be the greatest movie of all time despite the ending which i never watch the countless amount of times I do watch it. Got me beat how Cabaret still rates higher?

  • i loved the heavyweight pure genius

  • flipante coreo!!!!

  • Check out how VJTOMYAZ put this clip to the B52's Dancing Now from their last album Funplex. Its amazing and it does make the dance routine look absolutely straight from today's videos

    youtube.com/watch?v=w5sDXSHSh6Y

  • This is spectacular. Awesome. Jaw dropping. Suzanne Charny is a goddess.

  • What's a "frug"?

  • it's a kind of dance. The lazy don't move your legs only your arms dance for eg. the swim, the mash potoato the B-52's singers do it@intrepidlikes

  • were learning this in school just finished today actually cant wait till we perform :P

  • AMEI !!!!

  • Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • questa è arte!!!!!

  • El Distante

  • my favorite is the first one:]

  • Suzanne Charney just nails it. Absolute perfection, it's a pleasure to watch this over and over again.

  • what i think is so cool about this is that people thought this was avante garde and just so completely fresh and new and modern. it's also cool making the parallel of that's how i feel when i'm watching stuff like america's best dance crew or a really pretty lyrical piece.

  • This is extraordinary!!! Beautiful!

Where can I find the music???

  • sweet charity movie soundtrack. Just by the movie, you'll love it@Sepp149

  • Perfect.

  • these dancers were so good! the choreo is really cool by fosse of course. Very sharp and well executed, and those wrists woaah lol. Nigel Lithgoe was in this? How awesome is that?

  • Just some of Bob Fosse's best work. Dancers and choreographers don't move like this anymore.

  • when was this filmed?

  • Nigel Lythgoe at 3:29.

  • Is that Nigel when it goes to the close up? or in the group.. lol

  • Suzanne Charney = Awesomeness

  • Foosee rocks

  • Ooohhh!!! Yeah!!! Oh Yeah

  • Shirley McLaine, are great

  • YO it's so way ahead of it's time. I heard when it was first aired on television they couldn't show below the waist because some of the hip movements was too sexual for it's time.....This is a great piece.

  • There is so much going on in this routine yet it is very difficult to take your eye's off that girl, wow! If in doubt go FOSSE.

  • As a youngster this mesmerised me, it still does!

Suzanne is amazing and very very sexy.

  • Ooooh - Yeeeeah!

    Just awesome!

  • If that's not her real hair, how the heck is Suzanne keeping that ponytail on?

  • Gotta be a woven-in hair extension, unless it was glued to her head.

She was an incredible dancer, wasn't she? She could move as if she had no bones in her body.

  • Now I see where beyonce got the inspiration from her last album,

  • Ben Vereen + Bob Fosse = magic

  • hi,

    it's great.

  • Emma Bunton - Maybe

    :D i love Emma

  • beyonce jacked it down to the last detail!

  • What is the music style?

  • Suzanne Charny is the coolest here. Look at how fluid her hand movements are and I love how the fact that's she wearing white gloves really creates a striking image that catches your eye. That's why Bob Fosse was such a genius.

  • Check out emma buntons - Maybe ... just like this i didn't know she used this video as an influence!

  • I have loved this movie always ...now I have the best parts to watch over and over and over

  • bob fossee was a GENIUS!

  • Thanks so much for this post. I've been looking for this for months. The lead female dancer in this number is Suzanne Charny, one of my original crushes when she used to do the late night American talk shows and I'd stay up way past my bedtime to catch her sexy dancing.

  • You too, huh?

That girl could move like she had no bones in her body. And boy, could she work that ponytail!

  • @scotpens love the pony tail!

  • this dance is so amazing, its so intricit(sp)

  • oye, me harias el favor de enviarme ese video?

  • This is some of the most intricate, precise choreography I've ever seen in my life!!!! I would drive myself crazy trying to emulate it!!!!

  • This is the best; as said before, its the small movements like the hand gestures that make it genius. You can watch it again and again and see something new.

    Fosse is King!

  • Qué feo ese doblaje! Estas películas jamás deberían doblarse.

  • The move she does at 1:02-1:05 knocks my nuts off.

  • Fosse's choreography and Suzanne Charney's precise work (with those gloves)is astounding. Watch this and try doing it yourself. Holy Moly! This sequence is beyond amazing to me.

  • Did Sizanne used to date Mr.Fosse?

  • Don't know if they had more than a professional relationship, but I'd say it's a distinct possibility, considering Fosse's womanizing reputation.

I'd sure nail any babe who looked like that and could move like that, given half a chance.

  • And it's great to see a very young Ben Vereen in his first collaboration w/ Fosse. After this movie, they worked together frequently.

  • So this where that Beyonce video came from. Genius in incarnation and reproduction!

  • U know, I didn't realize that until u brought it up lol. I swear, nothing is sacred

  • I hope no one is offended by Beyonce's (choreographer's) rip/inspirations as Mr. Fosse's inspiration/rip was from the popular the popular dance blacks were doing "back in the day". Seems like a proper circle.

  • You're absolutely right. Elements of the boogaloo were definitely incorporated into the choreography from about 2:35 to 3:13. I remember that dance well.

  • And I mean the old-school boogaloo from the 1960s, not the dance that the kids are doing today and calling the boogaloo (which is all fine and good, but still looks like hip-hop dancing to me).

  • you know you're a genius when people are still copying what you did 39 years later

  • Bob Fosse did GREAT choreography

  • mmmm.....pretty much orgasmic....love it....a lot.

  • This is sooo amazing, I'm kinda obsessed with it right now, lol. I watch it like 500 times a day, and make everybody watch it lol. I'm doing a painting of of like 1:32 ish. cus I'm soo in love with it

  • love love sweet charity. and absolutely wish i could've had 1/10 of Fosse's talent. And honestly it would be an insult to choreagraph it to any other song. No pun towards Beyonce, but dancing Fosse to another song that has nothing to do with it is an insult. Even if she was paying "homage", bah. Don't get me wrong, she's very talented. But you can't copy Fosse. You just can't.

  • BRILLIANT.

I love the feel you get from this scene. Can't stop watching it.

  • The reason you have blading men in this scene is because Bob Fosse, an actual visionary, was more concerned with the quality of his dancers, not their age or 'look'. Both Emma's & Beyonce's videos required several people to do the jobs that Mr. Fosse did alone. That's complicated. So are his moves. They require more control, line and exquisite form than most could possibly comprehend.

  • You have certainly been very concise and exemplifying Mr.Fosse's magistral work. Thanks for enlightenning people!

  • @StephanAOTTO I couldn't have said it better!!!!!

  • @StephanAOTTO School 'em, StephanAOTTO!

  • mesmorising!

  • this is definitely somethign that wade robson has assimilated into his own style

  • awesome!!!!!!

by the way i love emma bunton´s video... i think she did a great job based on fosse´s work

  • Wow, what an ignorant and stupid statement. Congrats!

  • obviously u never tried fossy style, it takes so much t do fossy style u have no idea, I HATE HATE HATE when people make judgment when they dont even know the hardwork behind it.

beyonce oh wow how i hate her for being a slut and copying everything from other works

  • the main girl can dance

  • so cool

  • Sin duda el video de Emma Bunton "Maybe" es mucho mejor que el de Beyonce, le dió más ESTILO, Beyonce lo hizo un tanto... vulgar.

  • reminds me of emma bunton maybe

  • FAMOSHOS

  • beyonce is an idiot copycat!

she must learn from emma bunton, she did it awesome and said that she got inspiration from this movie!

  • The "instructional" dance-oriented video is inspired by the 60s choreographies. Beyoncé cites influences from the legendary Broadway director-choreographer Bob Fosse, Southern and Jamaican movement and the Frug from the musical Sweet Charity. She said, "It tells you how to do all the dances — it's modern, it's retro, it's vintage, it's stylized, it's all of those things put together."

  • Beyonce tomo unos pasos de este baile, pero la verdad esta es mil veces mejor

  • Get me bodied???

  • I love how Beyonce acts like Get me bodied was her BIG idea!!!! Hello, here's the real thing!!!

  • beyonce never said it was her big idea!! dumb ass she was on an iterview talking about the orginal video and how she wanted her video to look like this!!

  • Me encanta

  • i love it

  • Una de mis coreos favoritas de Fosse...cuánta grandeza!!
