  • awesome spot for rafting! ;-)

  • rescuing Heidi proved to be the best thing: it put hope back into Klara, and hope was the best thing!

  • Is anyone else having flashbacks of "The Secret Garden"?

  • @MandiMousieMovie ye me too....

also why is it the mother always dies...

  • @MandiMousieMovie YES!!!!

  • i know this is cliche but they really don't make movies like this anymore

  • and the crippled kid magically walks!

  • Clara's father was not this rude in the original...

  • @cvdfer343434

yeah he wasn't this hot headed & very patient.

  • i'm crying '! especially on 6.25 when she starts walking, and the music

    O DEAR, CRY!!

  • ok, clara being able to walk again completely so soon was a bit dramatic and unrealistic

  • She will not fall

  • @Eliterule213 She's my favorite in the movie 2! I think she's such a brilliant actress! What about u? She's on FB. She looks absolutely pretty and is leading a FANTASTIC family lyf! can we be friends please?

  • It changes the story, which isn't great, but boy, I SO want to go there!

  • In this the Sesemann character is a complete nonce. After showing blatant bad manners to Grandfather, whose home this is after all, he then acts as though nothing unusual has happened after Clara's not only stood up on her own but walked a few steps, then without a word of gratitude to the people who made it possible he repeats in an ungracious and peremptory tone not that Heidi must get ready, but that she must be gotten ready. Jason Robards shouldn't have walked away: he should have decked him

  • was this film shot in America??

  • I loved the beginning of this part, when the kids bravely to work together to save Heidi, and Clara getting some feeling in her legs.

  • The part with Heidi hanging from the cliff used to always freak me out as a kid.

  • This scene was so dramatic for me at age 13. Any kid or teen watching this right now - this was on the Disney Channel in 1993. See how much it's changed ? It got worse. Disney Channel was at its best in the 80's and early 90's. I remember at this time watching MARK TWAIN AND ME which I'd like to see on Youtube. I never found it on DVD/VHS. Also at this time in '93, the show Avonlea was on Disney Channel. A terrific series with great young actors . It was about Prince Edward Island around 1905

  • @AmericanEvita I know, I blame Hannah Montana and every other teen prep show on the new Disney Channel.

  • @AmericanEvita avonlea was awesome too!

  • @starsweet4 Never missed an episode of Avonlea. I remember it was on evenings around 7, 8 or 9pm. It was always after the daytime kid shows/cartoons and it made me feel very grown up. I was beween the ages of 10 and 14 in those days, so I was not that small a kid and was able to enjoy the drama of Avonlea. Heck even in the 80's I was watching Family Ties and Mr Belvedere which were "grown up" shows.

  • @AmericanEvita yes, avonlea was an amazing show. pretty much most shows back then were good, i feel bad for the youth of today

  • it would of really been a bumer if they all fell

  • ahh i love the ending. klara walking to her father symbolizes her maturing and understanding things better. it also means that she's not a "baby" anymore.

  • @kalakaua12345 totally agree!!! :-)))

  • what AMAZING actors!

  • in the book i remember that her grandfather and heidi helped klara day by day to get her to walk again. and when her father came, she showed him how healthy she was and how she able to walk again.

  • I remember seeing this when I was a kid, the scene that always stood out was Clara dragging herself to the cliff.

  • God,over-protective people are so...ugh..unnecessary.

  • hi i am klara's father

i didn't think you were anyone else.

    LOL! Grandfather, you rule!

  • What! Ur her father?

  • no I was quoting the movie when Klara's father introduces himself to Heidi's grandfather. SO funny!

  • Yeah it a rare thing to see now days, but at the same time it's great cause hanging like that can be just as scary and dangous as being held at gun piont which is what people love to see.

And it just great that the movie is so "simple, clean, and just a great story about friendship, love, redemtion, and all that suff. It's great.

  • The whole hanging from a cliff is pretty rare to come by these days.
