I admire his confidence, he carries himself like a seasoned platform veteran. You taught him well.
Its too bad that the iron sports are misunderstood by the public. I see many mainstream sports truly abusing children at very young ages (at the parents insistance). In my experience powerlifting & weightlifting are very supportive communities, and are very protective of young athletes.
I truly appreciate your support!!! Yes, I agree that our sports are truly misunderstood by the public! If they only knew what really happens in youth soccer, football, baseball, gymnastics...and so on. Anyways, thanking you once again for your support!
Good job to your son. And you too for getin him started early. Just make sure he don't hurt himself. lol. Ire there a lot of other kids his age competing? That's pretty fucking awesome imho.
That was much better form than the video this is a response for. 119 is damn impressive for his age and weight. I'm 20 and can barely do 250. He's on his way. Good job.
Thank you. Yes, he had a bad day with his form in the other video and doesn't usually pull like that. Maybe trying to show off too much rather than focusing. But, then again, he was 5 then and now he is 7. He has much better form. We have been working on the form. Now if the other "Keyboard Kowards" could watch this video and stop calling my son names...cuz I'm sure they wouldn't do it to his face with me there!!!
Feel free to comment as long as you like; however, get some education first before you make the next comment towards my son or anyone. Uneducated comments like yours makes you more of an idiot than what you attempt to do with the video. Obviously, you don't know who I am and you don't know what I stand for. Good luck in your training, if you even do train?
Don't worry about that idiot insulting you and your kid, I commend you for instilling the values of lifting and specifically powerlifting (two things that will set you on track for the rest of your life) in your child. As long as proper safety measures are used and ludicrous amounts of weight aren't used (which they aren't), I see no problem with your son lifting.
Keep up the good work (and good luck to your son!),
Hey! Thanks. I know his form was a little off here. His lift prior to this one was very good w/ technique. He just turned 7 and he is 68 pounds. THe audio intro to the video has that info. He really likes to lift, it's hard to tell him he has to stop.

Lol. Yeah, me either, cause just looking at your son, I'd be kinda scared to mess with the source that made him like that. Haha.
