PCs are cheaper and customizable and can run more heavy duty stuff. Macs are expensive, uncustomizable and can do a lot of the same things PCs can do... though they require you to buy a whole new computer instead of simply upgrading a couple parts. But I suppose buying a new computer IS more convenient for modern day Americans... as long as they can afford buying a brand new computer every few months.

Banks, Post Offices, Corporations and Services use Microsoft. Most of them still use XP or NT and Vista was a piece of crapware that nobody ever used.

Like rainbow spinning, blue screen or a fatal error are also rare, only happen when somebody downloads some obvious viruses. Macs aren't more reliable at all, and many people that do animation use windows. If you delete or corrupt something on a PC you can recover it.

@MrArmo95 ok some of what you say is true, such as with the trackpad and the colour and the startup time (i'm assuming that's what you meant). however, loading pages instantly is completely based on your web browser and internet connection, it has nothing to do with the OS. and it is true that there are far more viruses for windows than mac, however viruses for mac still exist, and with windows it is far easier to locate and remove viruses than it is on a mac.
The reason why 20 percent of the people who know it fell for the 'delete system32' joke just shows that sure, PCs freeze and crash when you go ahead and download the Crysis demo when you know your requirements are shit low and you have integrated graphics. But when you're organized and not stupid, then PCs are 40 billion times longer lasting than Macs.

I work in IT, my job is fixing computers. Even the fucked ones don't crash most of the time, they just won't do something the customer wants - that's why it's called "broken" it's not because "it's Windows."
PCs wont crash if you know how to take care of it. Besides, at the school computer labs, the mac freezes all the fuckin' time too. It's trained me to save every five minutes, or after every significant touch up on a variety of programs. Of which I prefer to do at home, on my PC, because it feels oh-so-much smoother.

Forgive my "sinfulness" of not agreeing with you, your awesome genius-ness, but I, the "retard" feel much more in control with an OS that gives me more freedom to do what I please. Interchangeable hardware, an option of turn off mouse acceleration, and even a few quality video games on the side, on top of all the programs I need to work, design, and animate with is all I ask, and the PC seems to deliver. The school's mac gives me arthritis, and shuts down frequently.

Well, recently I'm attending two different colleges, a 2 year college for classes on the side, (nothing to do with credits, but for cheaper classes on multimedia education), and a 4 year college for the damned degree in animation. at the 2 year college, I use the iMac and in the 4 year university, it's a Mac Pro, both using snow lepopard. And my well kept 5 year old PC with XP still runs better for my projects.
At the school computer labs do they know how to do their job? If not as you are close to LA they should be able to get support if they so useless at using OSX. My old man is 75 and will probably pop before the Mac I gave him will crash on him and he is likely to live a long life.
lol my PC has been on for about a week now and no crash. actually, I haven't had a crash since I got my PC almost 1,5 years ago. Anyway, I read about browser crashes and such, I use google chrome and never had a crash. Just now though I had 25+ tabs open and suddenly the familiar 'program stopped working' error. I clicked close and all that happened was all the flash objects (youtube movies) were blacked out, page refresh and all worked again xD Also love the Japanese versions of the commercials

It doesn't *have* to mention Youtube, it's the medium we're all watching it on. The irony is that it was NOT my PC that was the culprit, it was congestion on youtube's part.

I normally have no problem with youtube data steams and the video buffer froze right as the PC actor did. Quite unexpected. If you're going to troll, you should at least know what you're talking about.

PC crashing is brought on by user error 99% of the time. If that's not the case, why is my old family PC 8 years old and running the shitest hardware that is now merely an embarrassment to man kind - yet I don't remember what the XP blue screen looks like.
I work in IT, my job is fixing computers. Even the fucked ones don't crash most of the time, they just won't do something the customer wants - that's why it's called "broken" it's not because "it's Windows."
By the way, I'm a Mac user too.

PCs wont crash if you know how to take care of it. Besides, at the school computer labs, the mac freezes all the fuckin' time too. It's trained me to save every five minutes, or after every significant touch up on a variety of programs. Of which I prefer to do at home, on my PC, because it feels oh-so-much smoother.

Forgive my "sinfulness" of not agreeing with you, your awesome genius-ness, but I, the "retard" feel much more in control with an OS that gives me more freedom to do what I please. Interchangeable hardware, an option of turn off mouse acceleration, and even a few quality video games on the side, on top of all the programs I need to work, design, and animate with is all I ask, and the PC seems to deliver. The school's mac gives me arthritis, and shuts down frequently.

It is waaaay smoother, no security or update bull, no crashing, it listens, it works. I just spent 2 hours repairing my sisters PC because Windows is so horrible, I dont even have to take care of my MAC it takes care of itself. NO malware No viruses NO anti virus software NO hassles.

@aniki91344 Doesn't matter what pc it is at the school or company labs, it's not taken care of probably and gathers masses of messy useless data. My home pc is flawless and clean. Mac software is good though, I don't see any logic buying the hardware off them though. Buy components from online and send to an expert, buy the os and software online, get better pc for 500 euros less at least...

Well, recently I'm attending two different colleges, a 2 year college for classes on the side, (nothing to do with credits, but for cheaper classes on multimedia education), and a 4 year college for the damned degree in animation. at the 2 year college, I use the iMac and in the 4 year university, it's a Mac Pro, both using snow lepopard. And my well kept 5 year old PC with XP still runs better for my projects.

At the school computer labs do they know how to do their job? If not as you are close to LA they should be able to get support if they so useless at using OSX. My old man is 75 and will probably pop before the Mac I gave him will crash on him and he is likely to live a long life.

lol my PC has been on for about a week now and no crash. actually, I haven't had a crash since I got my PC almost 1,5 years ago. Anyway, I read about browser crashes and such, I use google chrome and never had a crash. Just now though I had 25+ tabs open and suddenly the familiar 'program stopped working' error. I clicked close and all that happened was all the flash objects (youtube movies) were blacked out, page refresh and all worked again xD Also love the Japanese versions of the commercials

Windows is not a computer, it's a OS as well as Mac OS X, so stfu about that shit.
