This anime came out a few years before I even heard of Desert Punk. the manga came out likely before this series light novels but this one had a full year in japan before that show Plus unlike DP where I can go to Best buy right now and get it for 30 bucks or buy online for 15 or so, this is 70 online now. Love the opening and the anime had potential too but it was so awful and I don't care how many thumbs down I get. The girls were one dimentional and WAY too obssessive. Paying attention to EVERY little detail the guy did in his life, down to what foot of shoe he puts on first. And it's not like the guy was a pretty boy or even skilled where I could understand why they are after his genes so much. Almost as bad as Ai Yori Aoshi. Rin was the sole reason I kept watching. Even the ending was bad.
This anime is just mediocre at best...because it's just another typical harem show.
Don't even get me started at the ending; the first half of the entire show was already hardly bearable for me (due to many unwanted fanservices and the ever so-cliched-male-beatdowns) and the ending is just awful and tasteless.
I probably should've just drop any harem series I am watching now (except for probably Sekirei and Negima; since those 2 are more decent) and move back to GITS Stand Alone Complex.
@Durahan13 Name one time where harem has never used any of the cliches mentioned. Other than Aoi Yori Aoishi; most of the anime with harem are just plain fanservice fest with no real storyline (I know Love Hina is different; so that's counted out)

@Durahan13 Name one time where harem has never used any of the cliches mentioned. Other than Aoi Yori Aoishi; most of the anime with harem are just plain fanservice fest with no real storyline (I know Love Hina is different; so that's counted out)
