Thanks, although having actually played Nuts & Bolts now I can see lots of room for improvement. I could also do the shorts a lot cleaner now, but you learn as you go on and EA keep releasing expansions...

how do you color the pants and the backpack? everytime i try to paint them, i end up painting the creature

Had to use outfit pieces. I kept the base brown, pattern yellow, and the details blue. By selecting the blank canvas on the pattern and detail sections you get the colours without adding anything obnoxious to the creature.
