looks not that great. fm3 is going to be a far better game than this!! just looks like a pump up version of pro street.. if you couldn't decide wether to get shift or forza 3. you need to see a doctor because fm3 is the best racing game of 2009 by E3. in fm3 you can do so much more thing than shift like the rewind option so if you hit a turn wrong and go flying into the wall you can just rewind it to when things were merry and do it over!!

First off its not actual Solid, MGS4 is the last of the Solid franchise and its still exclusive to PS3. But ill give it to you *applause* MGS is on 360. However you will NEVER see Gran Turismo on 360 no matter how much you beg and complain, its owned by Sony themselves and Polyphony is apart of Sony, even if poly split Sony still owns the rights to GT.

the previous need for speed games should have never been called Need for Speed. Never really sounded good when the game is illegal street racing.

I think this game (NFS Shift) is more fitting of this name.

Maybe future games made by the makers of NFS made in the fashion of NFS most wanted, carbon, etc., should be named something else like "Need to Speed". Doesn't sound as cool as "Need for Speed", but it still sounds more appropriate

if they made a new need for speed then they should definitely make a new underground but with a 24 hour day/night cycle. but they should also integrate the track racing as well. for example, you can do street racing for small cash prizes and pink slips but when you want to earn more money and get better cars you go to race days and other events. this is just my opinion but i think if they put a good 4 or 5 years work into it that would work.

Engine sound great, the cars are well done. But I think one thing can be problematic for the gameplay: the motion blur when hitting a car or a wall, maybe it can disturb the player.

Yeah sure, I know, but the player can be "confused" when trying to take control of the car after a crash. Too much motion blur can be bad for the image distinction. We can see that in another kind of game, Crysis. The motion blur used in it is a little too extreme, for just simple turning your head or running movements ). Motion blur is not a bad thing, it adds a sweet realism in game.

Concerning the NFS serie, I am being seriously thinking about sending a mail to EA. The Need For Speeds are drowning since NFS: Most Wanted. Each time a NFS is released, that's a total shit (particularly NFS: Undercover which was the most crappy NFS game I ever played).
