Why did you exclude National League players?

How could Ryan Braun not be on this list? He put up some of the greatest numbers in the history of the game, this season, given the amount of time that he played in the Majors. He wasn't called up until May 24th. If you're not familiar with the National League, you should really try to watch it because you're really missing out. I have nothing against the American League, but National League baseball is what real baseball is all about.
