@TheDomavoy They're Autons in plastic dummy creatures, markedly different to their first dummies. They're from Terror of the Autons in 1971. Incidentally, one of my favourite stories!
It's interesting to hear what everyone has to say about eras of the show that they weren't involved in. You don't get that all that often on the DVD documentaries.
The Zygons are probably my favourite one-off aliens. Their design was great.
the cybermen look too much like the iron maiden, that's probably why they frighten me. and sylvester's right, the monster guys really do deserve the most credit.
That very last bit is just plain excellent. "But you dont know what's out there." "Then lets find out." That's pretty much Doctor Who summed up in its entirety.
Rengeneration: Absolute stroke of writing genius, such a creative way to work in a new lead, and it always ensures that the storyline not only continues...but evolves with the audience.
They're a great idea, though. A reptilian creature from pre-history that emerges in the 20th century to take back the Earth. Okay, so what if the SIlurians did it first?
Well, actually, I haven't seen any of the Earth Reptiles stories, so I can't really say much about them. I hoping to get the Beneath the Surface boxset in about two months and the Silurians are going to be on telly again soon, so yay!
Bryant had better have ad 20 kids, those genes are priceless.

What are the big eyed creatures at 8:27?
TheDomavoy 1 year ago
@TheDomavoy They are a variation of the Autons, and the version that appear in Jo's premier episode "Terror of the Autons."
I haven't seen the entire story, so I don't know why they looked exactly like this, except that they're plastic.

Looking back on it, The Sea Devils were probably the silliest monsters ever,
Dressed in nothing but fishing nets
Made the most ridicolous screams.
Great big googly eyes.
But that's why we love them.

Wasn't the whole idea supposed to be that they were copying the Silurians (Which I thought were much better, still think the Sea Devils were good).

Really? When?
I have the Beneath the Surface Boxset, the 5th Doctor Story is quite boring I thought.
Superplex1001 2 years ago
Episodes 8 and 9 of season 31. They haven't been confirmed, but one actress said that she's playing a silurian and they were seen in the trailer.
