When you know the lyrics, it's a bit tricky to try to sing along with him (in the crowd of course) because no matter what, when you get a song back in your head, it's always the studio recording that preveils. But anyway, when you see them in live (a real live, not this tv compressing thing) , you just have a fucking good time and that's the only thing that matters.

@fatnat12 then you need to open your ears. Although they're a huge force in the genre's they're involved with (synthpop, ebm, industrial), VNV Nation aren't the only good thing to come out of smart electronic music these days.

@geminyo Good question... personally, I think the staying-still could explain why he doesn't have as much energy as usual, and why he sounds a little pissed-off and annoyed.

I mean, if they told me to stop moving, I'd be pissed and not-happy as well.
