That happened to me too ^^ Mostly it is one light bulb that isn't working well. Sorry Alex :-/ Guess u can fix it pretty quick though :)

sometimes it's just that one of the lights is loose or burnt out. try tightening the first one on the strand and see if that fixes it!

that happened at my house, except they'd turn on for like a minute after plugging them in, and then they'd turn off. they look just like the ones you have.

we called the number on the box [because my dad was so mad after decorating the whole front of the house, lol], and they said you can't hook them all together... which is way lame?

but yeah, we got little teeny extension cords to go between the strings of lights and they worked normal again.
