it's been 12 years since the last original airing of the American Gladiators, so as of right now, the avg age of the gladiators, who at the time were all in their 30s, are now in their mid to late 40s. As I hear Mike O'Hearn ("Thor" Alt. Gladiator in the 90s), has tried out for the show and is rumored to have made it along with Fitness champ Beth Horn.

I really really doubt this is for the 2007/2008 AG show cause I don't think Sky, Laser, etc will still be gladiators lol. If anything this looks like it's a commercial for maybe AG on the ESPN Classic channel. It is a cool commercial though.

I heard that they will be making a 'New American Gladiator' 08 on nbc.

BUT they said that it will focus more on the personal stories of the contestants. So it'll probably be a crappy survivor look-a-like with all the slow mos and all.

i saw Laser in one of the tryout pictures somewhere.. he's still pretty built up. I think it would be cool to have at least one of the "original" Gladiators on there.. either Laser, Turbo, Sky, or Siren. Siren was always my fave Gladiator

What's mind-boggling about this preview is the fact that they showed clips from the UK's "Gladiators" (in addition to the International competition), and I didn't hear one mention that it was a "world-wide success."
