  • Please post example of peluso p2247se!! Be nice to hear all his micas compared on vocals and acoustic guitar....

  • @georgecain123 We are actively working on this at the moment, but it may be a little while before the video is live. In the meantime, our staff of engineers and sales staff are using the entire line of Peluso on countless productions and on a daily basis, and would be glad to discuss the sonic differences of the entire line, and what may be the best choice for your needs. Please don't hesitate to give us a ring, we would truly love to help you out. Call anytime, local or int'l +1-919-682-5552

  • Are you still using that Millenia preamp? If so, this is an incredible combo.

  • @jawsrock1 Hi, when we made this video we hadn't actually acquired our 8 channel Millennia mic preamp. This was done with the Great River MP2NV, another sensational mic preamp. We have used these P12's with great success with a number of preamps in our arsenal including A designs pacifica, A Designs EM Blue, Vintech X73i's, and of course Millennias. These are some of our go-to's with this mic, although it works well with most preamps... it's a killer C12

  • @soundpurestudios That's quite a nice selection to chose from. I would imagine with the detail of these mics, they would work well with most anything...especially in that level of equipment. I'm going to definitely keep these mics in mind when I get some money together and I'll definitely give you guys a call. I really like these mics....they have that sound I like. Thanks for the demo and the info!

  • @jawsrock1 We completely agree- we find these to have a lot of detail, top end presence, but not the typical harshness you get with a lot of other things that sound "bright." These work extremely well with just about any preamp that you stick them in front of, it really becomes more of a production choice than having to find "that one" preamp that works with them- they work with just about everything in our studio on most applications. Thanks for the support- we are here anytime for questions

  • The p12 blows the c12vr away I had a brand new c12vr which I took over to my friends studio which he has a peluso p12 We recorded with both mics. stacked Bg vocals and lead vocals. when we played the tracks back I ran out of his studio with my tail between my legs, returned the C12vr and bought the Peluso p12, 2247se, and the 22 251

  • @rancer21 Thanks for the note. We actually had a serious customer that bought C12vr's nearly 10 years ago from us listen to the P12. Did the exact same thing you did. For 1/3rd the price, the Pelusos are amazingly fine microphones- we have matched pairs of every single microphone that Mr. Peluso makes in our studios here at Sound Pure, & use them on everything. They are an amazing microphone, and a ridiculous value. We love the entire line- please don't hesitate to call if you need anything

  • I'd like to hear this against a C12VR. And keep it mono so we can hear the focus of the mic.

  • @neumann57 That probably won't be a shoot out we will do in the near future. Keep in mind that the C12VR is its own microphone and doesn't sound the same as a vintage C12 (which the Peluso is modeled after). We don't own VR's as we find the P12's to not only be more affordable, but found them to be sweeter in the top end. The C12 has gone through MANY altercations over the years, mainly in the capsule, and we have found that the newer VR's don't have as pleasant of a top end...

  • @neumann57 Check out the latest post by rancer21- it says a lot, and he's an unbiased third part!

  • You guys nailed this review - I was always afraid a c-12 would be to bright or harsh but no way - good choice of pre and great playing - you can totally hear the high end go shooting past without the ice pick vibe of cheaper condensers.

  • Couldn't agree more... and thanks for watching, and the nice comments... this mic is quickly becoming a real favorite accross many, many applications... there are so many, many mics tuned with a lot of top end that breaks up or tends towards harsh, where this one really is just smooth in the way that it sings.
