Can I make an obvious nit-pick and say that either that train should have had a brake van or been a series of fitted wagons and not just relied on locomotive brakes. I truly am shocked at how un-railwaylike this is.

you know everyone, i'm starting to think Hero of the Rails is exactlly the same as Thomas and the Magic Railroad. except, Thomas dosn't solve clues in this story, he just restores a third lost engine of Sodor instead. plus, the chase scene i've saw look just like it as well, except there was a bridge scene too where Spencer crashed from like D10 and the Viaduct. if anyone agrees with me vote up for me.

@93DOL, what edward means are optional stops, e.g. Getting coal and water at certain times. I mean hell spencer had stopped at a signal.

I'm a bit confused, why was spencer stopped at the signal when they could only stop for coal or water. Also they left trucks of jam on thomas's line, last I knew they cleared the lines for the race..... :-s just putting it out there.

@BMWM3GTRLOVER I know the original (aka GOOD) Thomas and Friends stories were done by the good Reverend, but some of the latest material has all the silliness and none of the charm of Dr. Seuss writing. I feel like they're pandering to kids. The older stories taught me words like "ill", "mended", "furious", "repair", and a bunch of other words that are pretty impressive for a kindergartener to know.
