Whats funny, is we are infinity and it can be proven.

We have a brain with billions of neurons, which are like their own little person, firing off when they choose, as they choose.

The will die and reform, while the rest of our brain surrounds then in its vastness, and the neurons probably have no clue what they are doing, except what they feel they will, with their FREE WILL.

We are in the same, who is to say we are not all thinking for a collective whole of another "greater being"

Sympathy OR Empathy, it doesn't matter.

If you understand one of the many messages tool is trying to relay, you would realize that we are all of the same mind, but our own mind as of now.

This means that we are meant to experience reality as we see it now. Take it for what it is, and experience EVERYTHING as you feel it, and not as you think anyone thinks you should experience it, including Tool.

You are your own version of the same consciousness, of the same light of origin.

From the lyrics I'm guessing its meaning is a psychological state when a person witnesses a strong state of emotion and begins to feel it themselves. this is what causes the emotion of empathy in humans as well as others. although it has other meanings, the most important thing is that tool kicks ass! : )

Actually, if you think about it, Tool are the first ones to put it this way, although everyone feels things vicariously, good and bad. Ever feel sad after seeing someone die and people mourn for them in a movie? You feel the same as those mourning for a short amount of time. You're viewing the situation vicariously. Unless you're completely emotionless.

Sorry for stating the obvious, although sometimes it helps me to better understand things myself.
