I'll bet all the bad guys in the UK have badass guns.
@TheSoundBarrier you'd be right, for some people it can be difficult to get an FAC 1 (Full bore rifles) buying a full-auto AK isn't that difficult, it's just illegal. Thing is the police here have 0 tolerance for people who buy into that kind of thing and those who buy them and weild them usually end up with 9 or 10 holes in them from police assault rifle fire
@14th20thKRHkickass True, illegal weapons can be obtained anywhere, regardless of the law. Here in the U.S. though, depending on what state you live in, machine guns made prior to 1986 can be owned by private citizens; so long as the owner has passed thorough federal background checks and has registered the firearms with the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Explosives. We are lucky, I guess you could say. They see it as a check and balance, I suppose to all the felons that illegally own guns.

This cannot possibly be an AK-103 since AK-103 is manufactured with black plastic furniture and the folding butt is not a skeleton frame. If anything this looks like an old AKS-74.
Silly prices for these rifles in the UK,considering they dont function properly (not semi auto) better off with a .22 copy at least you would have semi auto and only half the price.
Why even waste your money on an AK in the UK then, thats horrible and really defeats the whole purpose, having to cycle it every round is beyond annoying
@NYCGoomba713 True but would you rather have a manual gun or no gun? If you owned a bolt action, then you'd be cycling there, just because it is an assault rifle body and furniture doesn't mean it cannot be a source of fun on single.
Don't get me wrong, I'd prefer it if the government allowed us to have full auto, but they don't because a few individuals went psycho and gunned people down and the said gunmen weren't criminally minded but just flipped. It's sad but hey ho
Brilliant, you can have semi-auto Saiga 12's but you can't have a damn semi-auto rifle. I can safely say that the Saiga in many ways the more deadly weapon at less than 100 yards, possibly even 200 yards. Rather than suggest the over-throw of the British government, we need to first regain control of our own.
@mpeugeot The reason semi-auto centerfirers &riotgunswere banned, was that an AK47&M1 Carbine were used in the Hungerford massacre in 1987&Parliament wanted shot of the semi-auto high-powered weapons anyway(A cop s body was riddled with bullets from the AK47 semi-auto:-)Also what didn't help was that the British Deer Society&what you'd call in the States 'the stiff-assed Brits" said they didn't need them or wanted them,as bolt-actions were more popular than semis.
@MarineAqua45 Makes me feel bad for those on the other side of the pond. It's sad... I understand what the reason the government decided to do this to its citizens, even more amusing is common kitchen knives being restricted to 18 years and older... Really, it's tragic. I fear we'll suffer the same fate here soon enough.
@mpeugeot I know, but there is alot of predjudice at using an M1 carbine,or AR-15 to hunt or target shoot with. Most people think that ,in their words "assualt-weapons "are for the battlefield, but as you know a guns a gun.A hunter on here said that before the ban,he owned an AR-15 semi-auto&he was a well-spoken 'toff'.Its only us mainlanders that suffer, but fortunately for the Northern Irish, their choice is the same as ours was,pre-1989&their country was more unstable than ours, even to this day.
@mpeugeot This curtailed theirs&our rights to the semi-auto&pump-action centrefire rifles. This was for the same reason as a semiAlso the Saiga M12 didn't exist back in 1987&the only assault-shotguns,in private hands were the SPAS 12&the various riot&combat models, made by all known shotgun makers-otherwise it might of been banned.22LRs were spared as they were popular& self-loading shotguns, were used for wild-duck hunting, etc.Doesn't apply to Northern Ireland though.
thats a damn shame, nice rifle like that ruined because of some fuckin stupid ass law. I would be embarrased to shoot that thing. Tell the british people to grow some balls and overthrow your government
You're a dickhead, you really are! I agree its a fuckin stupid ass law but how the fuck are a very small minority of firearm enthusiasts going to over throw a government? Britain doesn't have the gun culture you have and the average person doesn't give a shit about all that "the right to bear arms" bullshit. I'd love to own a semi-auto AR15, i'd love to have my pistols back but, like fuck am I going to barricade myself in my home and shoot anyone who tries to take my guns.
wow that ruins a perfectly great rifle having to live under that kinda law damn maybe they can come out with some type of bolt action AK. i know it sounds stupid but at least he doesnt have to spend so much time fire charge fire charge. O well if you love something you do what you gotta do
Thanks for making the rare stuff available! We love you Oleg!
I love how you put copies of our laws highlighted to show that the shipment's legal to import, so customs doesn't get their panties in a bunch & hold up our orders.
You are truly an asset to the eastern bloc firearm lovers community.
I saw the BB guns made out of Makarovs & I love them. I need to get one, they're TOO COOL! It would be great for backyard practice.
home defense? people in Britain don't own guns for home defense. We're not pussy's, someone breaks into your house over here, you batter them with a bat, simple and far cheaper, we don't have the gun culture you lot have or the gun crime, most Brits don't give a fuck about guns.
this is an advertisement for oleg at FSU connections. great guy. i bought an SVDS (like the one shown in the video) off him through my local gun dealer. would recomend him to everyone. the fact these rifles especially the SVDs are straight pull/single shot is actually a bonus. less to clean, less to break, even more reliability and are even more accurate. apparantly soviet snipers who were experienced shooters and not just conscripts took the gas parts out their SVDs anyway for the same reasons
Yes,I know& its predicted that the USA,might suffer a similar fate,in the future(I hope not). Our gun laws are weird,as the Parties who passed the legislation, wanted a 50/50 compromise, with the antis& the pro-shooters.Our Olympic team can train at Bisley,to shoot their .22&.32 match pistols&have to go to Switzerland, for this-but we can shoot .22lr semi-auto rifles&bolt-actions,in any caliber. The Gun Control Network admitted that they never wanted to see people, trained in pistol shooting, again.
It is very suspect when a government pushes to disarm their law-abiding civilians...........NEW WORLD ORDER!!! Call me crazy but it is coming our way within the next 5-10yrs probably.
I actually believe you, when you said about The New World Order,as it might happen&also there are so many gullible sheep in our country too, who'd press for more bans. They'd ban something&revoke their freedoms.Hello Big Brother.
@C172Pilotdude I know, semi auto was banned ages ago because of the hungerford shooting spree. Its a shame but then again, few people buy these kinds of weapons here, people are more into bolt action, like Enfield no4 or into shotguns. But you're right it is sad :(
Saiga has kindly made for Britain,a special variant,of the semi-auto AK rifles,as we've been banned for owning the original semi-auto,models,due to a lunatic, who ironically used a chinese Type 56 AK47,to kill many people in an English town, called Hungerford,in Berkshire. These AK rifles are made to UK specifications& are bolt-action.
A person can own a unrestricted pump-or semi-auto shotgun,if they apply for a firearms license& show "good reason" on the application form.Good reasons include:Wild-fowling,pest control,or in popular application sense-practical shotgun shooting.Cartridge-firing handguns, except for vets,farmers,keepers,gun-dealers,etc are prohibited,as they are under Section 5 of the Firearm Ammendment Act.However a 7.1&3 variation on a firearms license can be obtained for pre-1920 cartridge pistols.Hypocrits.
who uploaded this video? there is no description as to why the ak is being manually cycled? Is it defective, are they shooting subsonic rounds, what gives? What is the point of posting a video of a non operational ak? Only thing I can think of is that they are sub sonic round but I doubt that given the report! Who knows 1 star for no description!
It was said further down. The reason is because the country laws for where they are requires the semi auto rifles (not shotguns) to be fired one round at a time. The bolt has to be manually cycled for them to be legal. I think this is in England or something where gun laws are a lot more strict.
As the weapon is a full bore weapon in the UK it can only be manually cycled by law, they have banned semi auto versions of this weapon or anything over .22LR,apart from the saiga as its a shotgun.Mad I know, the guys lucky to be able to own that as its a real fight to get a firearms licence in the UK,they seem to think by banning law abiding citizens from owning guns that the crimminals wont be able to won them either, the gov's a load of WANKERS.
@silver760 yeah, I agree, its ridiculous, the government want to crack down on our guns laws, which are already one of the strictest in the world but if you walk into a city back alley you can pick up a full auto weapon or a hand gun for as little as £50!
Thing is, we need people to vote in favour of relaxing the laws otherwise we'll never get the freedom we want
@silver760 the gov may be wankers but yall are some tea drinkin pussys for letting your government do that. my advice change to coffee pull your nuts out yer ass and make some changes. americans and brits are cut from the same cloth so it pains me to see my brethern accross the pond stand by while they nuter your birth givin right. cherrio guud buddy...
@silver760 If the USA had its way they would do the same thing, with gun laws getting tighter here too they will soon be trying a ban Im sure in the future.
@mxm190 the differenceis the us populas is pro gun the uk is way anti gun so people in the usa are more likly to hide the banned weapons and not register them like some brits did
@silver760 Nothing compared to Swedens retarded gun-laws, any semi-automatic weapon with a "military look" is illegal, as for "standard" looking hunting purpose semi-auto weapons, max 5+1 round mag capacity for rifles max 2+1 for shotguns.
A saiga would also be completely out of the question in Sweden
@silver760 It is not all that difficult to get a firearms license in the UK, it is a pain more than anything, compared to the US or Arizona where I'm from(now in Scotland) its hard since you can just go in and pretty much walk out depending on what you buy.
Ok... So, If you can have a semi auto shotgun, and a drum mag on a rifle, can you have a 20 round drum on the semi auto shotgun?
M.D. Arms makes the M.D. 20, a 20 round drum for the Saiga-12... Put .00 buck & Rifled slugs in the Saiga-12 & you actually have a firearm you could defend yourself with!! What are the laws regarding barrel length?
Don't feel bad... California isn't even allowed to have pistol grips on civilian long guns...
shotgun barrels must be 26" in length or longer, for semi shotguns it used to be a maximum of 3 rounds in a pump, but it seems you can have more in an semi.
In the UK the ONLY readily avalible semi auto rifle we can get is a .22, unless you have a very good reason in which case you can apply for a section 5 license which has to be aproved by the home secretary. This also appyly to hand guns, only registered vets and some game stalkers can get these for "humane dispatch", they also require a section 5 firearms license that has to be aproved by the home secretary.
that's really strange to be honest. One of the people I know has SVD and Saiga in Russia which are semi-automatic as well but they don't pull the thing after each shot. These ones are not semi-automatic, looks more like bolt action rifle
Pump and semi shotguns are ok in the uk, 3 shot only if you are hunting game (duck etc) or unlimited for vermin, semi rifles are normaly 22lr only, silencers are legal here
You aren't allowed semi-automatic rifles in the UK. The only semi-automatics you are allowed are .22lr carbines. It's purposefully had its gas tube blocked so it's legal in the UK. It sucks >:\
Yeah, shotguns have got to be a certain length. Something like 48", but I'm not totally sure. Gun legislation in this country is really, really stupid...
there is really no point to using this type of firearm then, as a pump action shotgun would be much more effective in nearly any engagement when chambered with slugs. Or are pump action shotguns to racey for the UK as well?
Last time i checked the violent crime per capita rate was MUCH higher in the UK than the US, my stats could be old and outdated.
You're probably right about the violent crime rates as well. I think one of the reasons for it is that civillians here are given no ability to defend themselves whatsoever.
"In a country where guns are outlawed, only outlaws carry guns"
Flakey pumps are legal in the uk but only three shells, or if you can justify it to the cops you can have get one that holds more, the barrel lenght of the shotgun has to be24 inch minimum and the stock has to be a certain length and cant fold, the AK is to uk spec, it is only allowed one shot at a time, government is shit scared of some nut going on a rampage, so is strict as fuck on guns and all hand guns are now banned except for cops etc.
This is so sad. Such a beautiful rifle forcefully mangled by an authoritarian nanny state. I really feel for you British gun owners. I really do. I hope someday you're able to get your rights as individuals back from this oppressive regime.
I did not know that about the UK. I have not been keeping up on there firearm laws. That seems silly that you can have a semi-auto shotgun, but not a semi-auto rifle.
This is because the whacko who killed 18 people in Hungerford,Berkshire, used a semi-auto AK47.They banned them, because he used them also in 1987,not many shotguns like this existed-to the knowledge of the Home Office.
Oh,yes we can,but not centerfire rifles as these were banned over 20 years ago.See the Hungerford massacre on csi,on here.A good example of how gun bans fail in general.
Because they are bolt-action or manual action guns.Semi-centerfirers were banned in 1989,following the massacre in Hungerford,Berkshire in England,in 1987-by a local whacko.
Look at the title of this vid dipshit. Saiga 12 and AK 103. Plus SVD's are made semi-auto anyways! Europeans can't poses semi-auto rifles. Only shotguns can be semi auto.
You have to chamber every round? That is so fucking gay. I hope this never happens in America. With Obama in...he's just itching to eliminate our firearms. Soon enough, we'll be in the same situation as our european bothers.
No there is just something wrong with the gas tube dumbass its pritty simple actually he either has never cleaned it or has abused it to the point to where it wont feed gas poperly but dont worry about the gun situation in 4 years everything will be fine we just need to fix our country up a little before we destroy it again but dont worry in another 4 years a Rep.will be back in office and you will get your guns back.
Soon, the Democrats (AKA: Communist Party) will try this here, if the had their, we would not have guns in the USA!

This cannot possibly be an AK-103 since AK-103 is manufactured with black plastic furniture and the folding butt is not a skeleton frame. If anything this looks like an old AKS-74.

Why even waste your money on an AK in the UK then, thats horrible and really defeats the whole purpose, having to cycle it every round is beyond annoying
NYCGoomba713 1 year ago

Rather than suggest the over-throw of the British government, we need to first regain control of our own.
mpeugeot 1 year ago
@mpeugeot A smoothbore at 200 yards? Dream on....
zipacna1980 1 year ago
@mpeugeot The reason semi-auto centerfirers &riotgunswere banned, was that an AK47&M1 Carbine were used in the Hungerford massacre in 1987&Parliament wanted shot of the semi-auto high-powered weapons anyway(A cop s body was riddled with bullets from the AK47 semi-auto:-)Also what didn't help was that the British Deer Society&what you'd call in the States 'the stiff-assed Brits" said they didn't need them or wanted them,as bolt-actions were more popular than semis.
MarineAqua45 1 year ago
@MarineAqua45 Makes me feel bad for those on the other side of the pond. It's sad... I understand what the reason the government decided to do this to its citizens, even more amusing is common kitchen knives being restricted to 18 years and older... Really, it's tragic. I fear we'll suffer the same fate here soon enough.
mpeugeot 1 year ago
@mpeugeot I know, but there is alot of predjudice at using an M1 carbine,or AR-15 to hunt or target shoot with. Most people think that ,in their words "assualt-weapons "are for the battlefield, but as you know a guns a gun.A hunter on here said that before the ban,he owned an AR-15 semi-auto&he was a well-spoken 'toff'.Its only us mainlanders that suffer, but fortunately for the Northern Irish, their choice is the same as ours was,pre-1989&their country was more unstable than ours, even to this day.
MarineAqua45 1 year ago
@mpeugeot This curtailed theirs&our rights to the semi-auto&pump-action centrefire rifles. This was for the same reason as a semiAlso the Saiga M12 didn't exist back in 1987&the only assault-shotguns,in private hands were the SPAS 12&the various riot&combat models, made by all known shotgun makers-otherwise it might of been banned.22LRs were spared as they were popular& self-loading shotguns, were used for wild-duck hunting, etc.Doesn't apply to Northern Ireland though.

RE: "get a semi auto at least"
The only semi-auto allowed in the UK are .22s & shotguns.
That's why his AK is straight pull like that.
It doesn't have gas ports to operate the gas system that is supposed to be in the gas (upper) tube.
UK's gun laws suck balls, but at least they can fill mags with 3" magnum .00 buck in the Saiga-12 & have a respectable weapon for home defense.
This should serve as a warning to us in the states.

this is an advertisement for oleg at FSU connections. great guy. i bought an SVDS (like the one shown in the video) off him through my local gun dealer. would recomend him to everyone. the fact these rifles especially the SVDs are straight pull/single shot is actually a bonus. less to clean, less to break, even more reliability and are even more accurate. apparantly soviet snipers who were experienced shooters and not just conscripts took the gas parts out their SVDs anyway for the same reasons

MarineAqua45 2 years ago

A person can own a unrestricted pump-or semi-auto shotgun,if they apply for a firearms license& show "good reason" on the application form.Good reasons include:Wild-fowling,pest control,or in popular application sense-practical shotgun shooting.Cartridge-firing handguns, except for vets,farmers,keepers,gun-dealers,etc are prohibited,as they are under Section 5 of the Firearm Ammendment Act.However a 7.1&3 variation on a firearms license can be obtained for pre-1920 cartridge pistols.Hypocrits.

Brock1812 2 years ago
who uploaded this video? there is no description as to why the ak is being manually cycled? Is it defective, are they shooting subsonic rounds, what gives? What is the point of posting a video of a non operational ak? Only thing I can think of is that they are sub sonic round but I doubt that given the report! Who knows 1 star for no description!
givmedew 2 years ago
It was said further down. The reason is because the country laws for where they are requires the semi auto rifles (not shotguns) to be fired one round at a time. The bolt has to be manually cycled for them to be legal. I think this is in England or something where gun laws are a lot more strict.
obeyance 2 years ago 2

As the weapon is a full bore weapon in the UK it can only be manually cycled by law, they have banned semi auto versions of this weapon or anything over .22LR,apart from the saiga as its a shotgun.Mad I know, the guys lucky to be able to own that as its a real fight to get a firearms licence in the UK,they seem to think by banning law abiding citizens from owning guns that the crimminals wont be able to won them either, the gov's a load of WANKERS.

@silver760 Nothing compared to Swedens retarded gun-laws, any semi-automatic weapon with a "military look" is illegal, as for "standard" looking hunting purpose semi-auto weapons, max 5+1 round mag capacity for rifles max 2+1 for shotguns.
A saiga would also be completely out of the question in Sweden
porrsmurfen 1 year ago
@silver760 It is not all that difficult to get a firearms license in the UK, it is a pain more than anything, compared to the US or Arizona where I'm from(now in Scotland) its hard since you can just go in and pretty much walk out depending on what you buy.
PandaNDuskie 10 months ago
@silver760 Swedens' gun laws are pretty much the reverse. Shotguns can't hold more than 2+1 rounds, although semi-autos are okay.. :p
porrsmurfen 4 months ago
California isn't even allowed to have pistol grips on civilian long guns...
paulyski 2 years ago
shotgun barrels must be 26" in length or longer, for semi shotguns it used to be a maximum of 3 rounds in a pump, but it seems you can have more in an semi.
silver760 2 years ago
you need a full FC for more than 2 rounds (plus one in barrell) of a normal semi.

Yeah, shotguns have got to be a certain length. Something like 48", but I'm not totally sure. Gun legislation in this country is really, really stupid...
bibblebob 2 years ago
there is really no point to using this type of firearm then, as a pump action shotgun would be much more effective in nearly any engagement when chambered with slugs. Or are pump action shotguns to racey for the UK as well?
Last time i checked the violent crime per capita rate was MUCH higher in the UK than the US, my stats could be old and outdated.
flakey1337 2 years ago
I think you're allowed pump action shotguns.
You're probably right about the violent crime rates as well. I think one of the reasons for it is that civillians here are given no ability to defend themselves whatsoever.

bibblebob 2 years ago 2
Flakey pumps are legal in the uk but only three shells, or if you can justify it to the cops you can have get one that holds more, the barrel lenght of the shotgun has to be24 inch minimum and the stock has to be a certain length and cant fold, the AK is to uk spec, it is only allowed one shot at a time, government is shit scared of some nut going on a rampage, so is strict as fuck on guns and all hand guns are now banned except for cops etc.
