  • holy crap, he is back again!? clearly there is some mental condition involved here. even a fifth grade education provides a better command of the english language and the ability of clear thought.

  • @dukelogan1 lol at all of that but on a lighter note our event today was alot of fun. I got gavin with a really funny kill!!

  • @dukelogan1 you havein't writen one paragraph in correct English you pompus wind bag. I will worry about what my English teachers taught me when you can man up and write me a correct paragragh... other wise hire a secretary to write for you... i beat she could handle me better. peace out logan.

  • @9999999rpm Do me a favor mr. chivalrious... don't send me threats in the mail this time. that's a felony in most places; and a crime on youtube... so get it right man you can make a arguement sound without resorting to you bad habits. the world don't need to know what you did or what you want to do in your sick mind... well sick to chivalry and kind folk.... i think its funny... honey... the only thing keeping you alive is goodness and kindness... and you don't seem to see it.

  • @9999999rpm crazy man, ive never threatened you. what kind of nonsense are you going on about?

  • I suddenly realise why riot police make their shields from plexi-glass these days.

  • @hbregalad why? i dont get it i feel like i would brake some plexiglass in the sca but i dont really know i have no experience with plexiglass. i am really curious what the advantages to plexiglass are. maybe that you can see through it?

  • @khamfl because riot police only face things that are thrown like rocks. i could easily break a riot shield with a metal plank like a sword. then what? an attack up close would be justification for law enforcement to escalate to something like a tazer or an arrest. some shithead that throws a rock from 40 yards behind a crowd doesnt face that. cant break a sheet of plexi by throwing something like a coward from range.

  • @dukelogan1 that makes sense

  • @georgeregulas WHOA u r throwing around insults quite liberally. you should conduct yourself with honor and chivalry always, which u r not doing. By being an sca member u represent all of us STOP MAKING US LOOK BAD!

  • @khamfl holy shit, this guys back! no fear khamfl hes not in the sca, thankfully, and only represents himself with all the gibberish he is posting. your advice is sound, maybe he will take a little of it. ;^)

    regards

    logan

  • @dukelogan1 I am glad to hear he is not in the SCA. I have heard nothing but good things about you from people who know you and I hope to meet you on the field someday.

  • @khamfl if you make it to pennsic this year (or are ever in south florida) i would be happy to do some fighting with you. im pretty easy to find at pennsic and will be on the pick-up field a lot. be well.

    regards

    logan

  • @dukelogan1 noop won't take advise from a slightly sadistic hollow idiot or a slightly miss guided stranger... and my reasons for not showing up are simple. i don't have armor and i'm not blowing capri on junk... but i will happy fight anybody in some loner armor... privided they can live with getting humiliated if they get to hostile...

  • @9999999rpm that has to be one of the funniest things i have ever read. of course its nearly impossible to decipher this drivel.

  • @khamfl no dude you do it to well. i won't steal the show from to two goons.. you look like a couple of toons. You've got to be kidding mr or mrs when you say chivalry. have you read the commits on the post like all of them. it's pretty plain the ones being unchivalrious are the ones like logan and yourself with your back yard fantasy's you would be; but its clear you guys are not only the ones being unchivalrious but just plain dishonorable. but hey its United States of What Ever so so...

  • 1:04 MEGA FATALITY

  • wow, I was wondering who the fighter kicking all the ass was. The Legendary Duke Logan. damn!

  • @sportswolf3 back yard legendary. man what a treat!

  • @dukelogan Thanks for clearing that up. I totally agree with your comment a good shot is a good shot it doesn't matter what your opponant did or you think that they did (which is what has happened here).

I'd be interested to fight you if I can play at your level and I make it over to the US.

  • @Wulfgar5000 i think you will find that most of us will play at the level of our opponent in a practice situation. my rule is 10% above or below what the other guy is bringing me. now a tourney is different and i treat every combatant the same and with the same determination to win the contest. sometime that works out for me and sometimes it doesnt. ;^)

  • @dukelogan well wolfgar lovely gunghow; and not a bad idea. i might add that the method to victory. convintional speaking on the fighter level is to out perform the oppenent acording to the rules and to the method the game is played. That clear did not happen here on both sides and i will place my trust in the King of SCA at the time choose. which was to disqualify both teams... sides logan would like to think he could take( which he can't) cause i did his job of looking after us both.

  • @Wulfgar5000 what good is a good shot if you not going to give the guy time to answer good or not you just throw shots like a dumb ass who's never fought in the SCa before. i kid you not if i had had a mace of a pokey you head would have literal giggled and fumbled around.. you can hear your helm get struck in the video.. it sounds like a normal SCa helm. it rung like a bell when it got hit. and you said nothing to the shots i called or the ones that hit you.

  • Sluff me once shame on you, sluff me twice and I'll break your ass. :)

  • @dukelogan Thank you for answering my question. I can understand your point of view I don't completely agree with it. There are lots of reasons a blow could be light I personally find it useful to talk to my opponents, usually after the bout and off the field, it helps me if I am throwing crap technique etc.

I would love to know what was running through your opponents mind during the bout.

  • @Wulfgar5000 there are even times during a bout that i will ask my opponent about the placement of a shot i threw. never about the force just the location. i did talk to the lefty an hour after the fight and he said (and still insists) that "you didnt take my head shot so i wasnt taking your leg shots". of course he never actually hit me and it seemed lost on him that it was wrong to refuse a shot that you knew was good because you think your opponent cheated. to decide to cheat is never right.

  • @dukelogan yeh well i guess thats why he threw you out logan cause you were not responding to shots called or shots landed; you broke your sword on a fair good fighters head when he was on his knees. which i think is so cool know that i see it. get it he broke your sword with his head.. hahahhaha ironic justice. Jack Jack you won after all buddy. you really need to get a life logan cause we the friendlest nice giys you will ever meet. we was playing for fun. it was all you loss.

  • @Wulfgar5000 "I would love to know what was running through your opponents mind during the bout." My guess would be "ouch".

  • @hasturhastur well the lefty guy told me he was told by a transplant that i never take any blows. he then said he hit me in the head twice so he didnt take my shots because i didnt take his head shots (he authorized that morning). the second guy, also trained by the same guy, well i dont know. i also dont care. i wasnt hit by any of my blows so i dont know what was good. i wasnt hit and i kept throwing until it was over which is what our job is supposed to be. thankfully the 1st guy is gone.

  • @dukelogan dude you still can't get it right. it's ok take a breath and breath..... k you might get it when your calm.. i said that you landed the first two maybe three and i didn't respond to them cause i was under the difficult surcomstance of having to protect my spin or my body from a duke who preaches control and is the first to break his word.. i then call the other legs shot while hitting him on the head hes doesn't accknowledge any of it i final put down my sword and shild to stop

  • @9999999rpm Fight that is quickly becoming something other then a chivalrious tournement. i might ass at this point the martial are just standing ther like WTF... then the king comes out to stop the fight. after logan brakes his sword on jacks head. then i was pissed with him cause there was no call for that temper tandrum on Jacks head... the King then throws his ass out cause he was bitching like a baby. and whinning at me cause i was doing his job i not taking the blame for his incopatence.

  • @hasturhastur no i had girls hit me harder them logan did. he did brake his sword though. i did call the them about haf way threw the fight. didn't seem to matter though. almost like somebody set him off. he didn't seem coherent so i threw the fight cause i didn't know what to do with a dike that didn't know what he was doing. sounded good. but a got cused out. i been cussed out before though.

  • @Wulfgar5000 k what was running through my mind. is you go from being a quiet plain authorizer.. and a decent shot. to a hissifiting dude that looked like he just stuke something up his ass and wanted to blame it on me. i was pretty calm about most of it... except when he broke his sword on jacks head. that was just indecent for a man to see. you shouldn't brake your sword on Jacks head. do i need to tell you why. i don't really know how smart you are... just thought i would ask.

  • @dukelogan Everyone has their own method. I have become accustomed to a fighting style where combatants talk to one another. Did you talk to the two fighters in this video? I have heard the argument that if they don't take the shot then it was light but there is no doubt you are landing shots, did you talk to them to find out what was going on?

  • @Wulfgar5000 no. the rules, and spirit, of our combat clearly state that the man being struck calls the blow. to question someone while engaged in combat is to question their honesty. you might be comfortable doing that but i am not. i trust my opponent and if they are not satisfied with a blow then it is what it is. i dont care about winning a pretend fight enough to assume someone is cheating. so, i just keep fighting until one of us is bested. your charge is pretty severe and, i think, unfair

  • @dukelogan welll humm that ain't the way the play in SCA man. i always heard you listen for your oppenents calls... and if he ain't calling nothing you need to get the martial to check somethin out. might have his head damaged or something. say they said that to about you logan. owee thats not good man... might want to rethink that one special if you ain't dishonoring him by making sure you both come out clean... it is a game with rules not real lethal combat.

  • @Wulfgar5000 no i came to talk to him.. he was whining to some people who were trying to claim him down. i think one of them was the King briefly. yes that's right. i even did my christain duty by appologizing about getting him thrown out. i had just come to have some fun. he had a more serious attitude. then i relized what a snake he was when i heard him talking about ripping somebody off selling some armor online. i just laughed then a said to myself he got what he deserved... yeh

  • I love this fight so much, I want to add "POW" and "BLAMMO" action balloons like the Adam West Batman TV series.

  • georgie,

the term you are looking for is "marquess of queensberry" rules and was the start of formalized boxing rules and the end of bareknuckle fighting for the most part.

anyway...... havent heard from you regarding practices and there are a bunch within just a few short hours drive from those mountains you live in. let me know if you need times/locations.

  • @georgeregulas like i said, all it takes is an email. the information is also on my website fighterpractice (dot) com. but why would i worry about you causing trouble? thats never even crossed my mind. shoot me an email and we can work out some scheduling. also, i have no idea who severnnn is nor do i understand why you would have an issue with him.

  • @georgeregulas every single thursday in columbia. any weekend that there isnt an event within 200 miles (although most events outside of 200 miles are worth going to) in columbia. just takes an email.........

  • Good lord! Peope are still talking about this?

  • wow. Last shot is my fav

  • Friend of mine counted minimum of nine good hits, all ignored. Guess he wanted to be a rhino. You should have knocked him out with one of those shots. >:)

  • in all fairness, your friend cannot have counted any good shots since he wasnt hit by any of them. speculation is a sin and calling another mans blows is a worse one. even if he was right, he should leave it to the man struck to call the blow.

    regards

    logan

  • @dukelogan except for the Martial, the King, and the other fighters who are having to sacrifice time and energy for the sake of the fighter. oh i left out law inforcement, military, secret organizations, and pretty much everybody who can smell a JV lier...

  • @MisterTunemonster no i called them its just the guy incharge and the other guy i was fighting had trouble hearing that day. doesn't matter nobody won the fight... we were both disqulified...

  • georgie boy, again you are confused. this video was not posted by the same guy that posted the other one. take a moment to actually read the rules of the list and your confusion on how you acknowledge a telling blow (ie dropping to your knees) will also be cleared up. no matter how many times you tell yourself that you laid any stick on me you simply didnt. so if anyone needs to "grow up" its you. even though you clearly received poor training at some point you need to take some responsibility

  • Greetings from Caid. After watching video a whole alotta time & laughing each time.

The one thing I like about video cameras is that they show exactly what happen. Period. The knight legged that 1st fighter time after time after time, & never responded to it. Light shot!?! I don't think so esp. after the 2nd fighter whose body language show how painful his leg shot was! As for the knight, the only thing he is "guilty" of is he was (understandablely) pissed at them for not taking shots.

  • Remember the SCA rules on heavy fighting, do not lose your temper and be honorable to take your shots. This goes for any martial art sparring. Someone should have called "Hold" on this fight gone wrong.

  • @gld1010 wow man you could be a Martial; not sure you won't to know but I beat you could... Good attitude.

  • @nafarofcorvus oohh no i took the shot i just wasen't going to my knees for a guy who was trying to get his man on.. if you do boy i pitty you. you a good boy. i calle dthem though... i don't know i think logan might think hes wolverine or something... cause he didn't say nothing... like nothing at all till we got thrown out and he almost cryied, but its a rusty hatchet at most so who cares.

  • wow, ive never actually watched the slow motion clip of this (ive watched the original frame by frame though). how on earth do you contest that you hit me ever? its more clear frame by fram but it can not be contested even on this slow motion clip. really? stop being silly.

either way, i guess all of my leg shots were not enough for you. thats cool but dont try and pretend you "dropped" your sword and "let" me hit you in the head. honestly, how silly of you.

  • @dukelogan now now logan i don't care if your eyes won't admt the truth you can here your helmet ring like a bell after i hit it the last time... after that i was ready to switch weapons cause my sword needed a pokey to deliever a blow you would take...i didn't have one and waesn't going to indanger your life and definitly not mine over a silly back yard fun time... maybe if we were both getting some good money over it but not over stupid sh44.

  • fact is you never actually hit me. i blocked the first shot with my sword and the second shot missed my head completely and landed on the inside of my shield. watch the video frame by frame, its clear. also, when you are struck with a good blow to the leg you drop. you didnt and you said to me afterwards that you wouldnt call the leg shots because i didnt call your head shot (which didnt hit me anyway). you thought i cheated you so you DECIDED to cheat. you admitted to that. so really, stop it.

  • I love this fight so much. Logan is wonderful to watch in this.

  • The guy in the red hit, 9-9 against the black, and was hit, 2-5 times. The the guy in the red hit, 5-8 times against the green and was hit 1-1. Judging by the rules the black guy should lose his authorations and the guy in the red should have to. Lastly the guy in the green should have lost his as well. THat is judging by the rule according to the words I have heard here. I don't know the technical rules.

  • actually neither of them ever hit me. the left handed tool threw three blows at me, the first was shield, the second i punch blocked with my sword, and the third missed completly. the second guy never came close. no biggie, they are both very low skilled fighters with room to improve. they simply have a shitty mentality when it comes to our sport which, hopefully, will change in time. they were influenced by some people with terrible ideas on what the spirit of sca combat is which is a shame.

  • Do you think it's wise to use a heavier sword in melee, just in case people want a more stout hit? I'm about 1 year in to the sport, and I've been taught that if people want a bigger hit to go down, don't argue, just give it to them :) That said, your sword swings pretty light, or so it looks. I"ve been trying to train with heavier weapons to get the feel of it. Being a duke, what is your thought?

  • well ive never been accused of throwing light blows before. ;^) i prefer solid, hard, dense rattan over heavy rattan. i think its more about technique than anything else. i routinely use 1.5" rattan and, with proper technique, can dent 12ga ss. i dont tend to swing that hard as a rule but have had to on a very very rare occasion. i suggest using a sword that you can swing hard but isnt so heavy it wears you out in three minutes. check my website for some video on techniques that work for me.

  • In an attempt to end this babbling.... Logan, I will be attending Pennsic for War Week. I am now going by the name of Kentis KenSon, the newest Man at Arms to Duke Balfar. I will be staying in the Dragonship Haven camp and I am filled with anticipation for the chance to have a match against you. What camp area will you be in, if I may be so bold as to ask?

  • sorry, i used too many big words. what im saying is that you need to go back to school and take a course in writing as it will only help you communicate (that means talk to people) better. its hard to follow whatever point youre trying to make given how bad your spelling and sentence structure are.

as to your notion that you ever hit me i would recommend getting over that, you never did, not even close. stop sounding so foolish.

  • i can hardly follow your atrocious attempts at english. either way, you once again accuse me of posting this video but are clearly too obtuse to look at the name of the person who did to realize it wasnt me. i recommend a remedial course since i know youre not from the third world.

  • not sure what language any of that is. anyway, there was no drama, you admitted that you didnt accept my blows because i didnt take your imagined "headshot" you choose to cheat. either way, the toads that trained you fucked up. i hope you do get your shit straight and should you decide to try us again i would be happy to help you out. just stay away from the retards that you were working with. i know them all and they set you up for failure.

    logan

  • Wow - that looks like at least six clean hard leg shots being ignored (a seventh is at a bad camera angle and may also have hit). I know you can't tell for certain unless you are the recipient, but Logan has a rep for hard shots and I'm just shocked at the no-calls.

  • I have fought in both Dagorhir and the SCA, and I must say, for as terrible of rhinohiding as that was, his sword tip was on the ground, and you faced him. But, I cannot and will not pass judgement. I know it looks worse here than it really is, and you are an incredible fighter. I admittedly would have done the same thing. Seeing it happen makes me question myself more than anything. Sad-sapping from me aside, i applaud your skill, and your honor, Sir.

    Elec

  • look again. i wait until his sword is off the ground and he is again legal to hit. i was there and i watched the sword specifically. ive written so many of our rules i can promise you i follow them.

    regards

    logan

  • I'm sorry, I need to clarify. I do not believe you were wrong in any way, what I was trying to say (and evidently failed at saying, it was late) is that it looks much worse than it is. Looking back it does sound like an accusation, which it is not. I would have done the same thing in your position, I was simply trying to express the inner struggle that occurred when I watched this. I can see that you were right, but many will not.

    In Peace,

    Elec

  • Wow, the silliness. I just watched a Duke I do not know, whip the asses of two SCA fighters I do not know, and they did not want to acknowledge it. The pride is offensive! Arguing about flat blows? Seriously?

  • wow how many shots does he have to take the that leg before he will call dam!!

  • i didnt think this video could get any better! haha deffinately a favorite, it shows just how many shots where thrown until the dumbasses actually accepted the fact that they where getting their asses kicked!!!

    wow...id get pissed too lmao

  • glad you liked constantines remix. one thing though, i never got pissed off. i did get annoyed at the end because i didnt care for the blindside attack by the second guy. i fucked up by walking away after the last blow i threw. i was annoyed and was prepared to yield the field if my final shot wasnt enough.

    regards

    logan

  • I don't think the shots were flat, but if they where flat or soft or whatever... then then the fight goes on until a the recipient calls a good shot. So what is the problem? Duke Logan kept throwing shots until one was accepted as "good".

  • Its "you should have took the first shot"! You have NOW pissed me off....Awesome, a great fighter does have his limits.

  • ahh i see. all of the offsides were thrown as "thumb leads". basically forward wraps hitting back edge first. that one at 49 got flubbed a bit on its way in as well. hey i was tired and it was just above 100 degrees that day. 8^)

    regards

    logan

  • You know I was thinking about that shot today, and I thought... hmmm I wonder if they were thumb leads, looks like they were!

Thats one shot I've never had much success with, my knight Duke Ivan, was great with it, but I never mananged to absorb it well from him.

Can discuss it on AA if you like.

    Vitale

  • shoot me an email at my addy logan at ebonwoulfe dot com. id be happy to discuss thumb leads or whatever. if youre ever in atlantia or at pennsic or, this year, gulf wars, id be more than happy to work with you on it a little. oh, and which duke ivan?

    best regards

    logan

  • Is there any where to see a more percise discription/video of a thumb lead shot. I think i understand how its being thrown, but doesn't it have potential of damaging your wrist?

  • i throw it pretty often so you might see some on my website under the video section (ebonwoulfe(dot)com). there is potential of course, just with any other type of shot. but only if it misses really. then, like any other blow, you can hyperextend the joint. its happened to me a few times but never with any real concern. you going to be at pennsic? if so, look me up and i would be happy to work with you a bit and show you how to throw it.

    regards

    logan

  • One of the worst displays of chivalry I have seen from an SCA knight, don't know what the deal was with the other guy was but a knight should handle a situation better than just amping up

  • WWMD WHAT WOULD William MARSHAL HAVE DONE?

  • There is no lack of Chivalry... The first guy dropped his sword after numerous kill shots, probably finally said "Dead".. And the second guy went down from a wrap to a soft spot in his leg, but he wasn't dead until Sir Logan put one in his grill. And it was a light hit as well. How else should he have handled the situation? Called hold to discuss what a good shot is? Forfeited the fight?

  • We can't really know what went on without being able to hear if a Hold was called, or if the combatants called "dead" or not..

  • Yes I think he should have stopped the fight and asked what was going on, I agree the first guy should have taken the shots but that is no need to open a can without finding out what is going on. In any event I hope that Logan talked to this guy afterwards to find out what the deal was.

Anyway I'm not going to argue but that video just makes Logan look like a thug when for all I know he could be the nicest of people in real life.

  • Looked like a lot of flat shots with the blade not landing on edge. Mostly it was just a plain ugly fight all around.

  • hmmmm. where did you see a lot of flat shots? just curious.

    regards

    logan

  • Hey Logan,

This is one of my favourite vids, it's like marshal-poetry. However I just had a look at it in the light of the above comments.

Of course I can't be sure, but the (obviously light) clean chest shot at about 0:49 does appear to be landing a bit flat.

Normally on that sort of shot I'd expect you would need to crank your wrist forward to get the blade orientation right, but from the angle of your basket hilt it isn't clear if that was happening or not.

    All the best

    Vitale

  • yeah, you can see some are flat, and alot of what hit the first guy looks like leg shots from this angle. the guy should've dropped to his knees, but he was probably wondering about the headshots he threw. And that's one of the things a hold is supposed to be for. to stop for things like a calibration. no telling what logan would have hit him with if he'd done that though. most fighters i've known would let someone get situated on the ground especially if they acted like they were in that much

  • pain. The second part was ugly, but the norm for a knight in that kingdom isn't to be a higher standard, but a harder hitter, and take more. the shot to the guy on the ground has every indication it wasn't a light hit. Such is the Atlantian thug way.

  • Thats such silly, if a fighter doesnt acknowledge a blow, then clearly the fight is still in progress. Furthermore it is perfectly clear that Duke Logan waits for eye contact before finishing continuing the fight on the knees. Pretty standard for war scenarios. I thought this was handled beautifully. Additionally one or two possible flat shots clealy does not make irrelavant the many other clean shots.

  • your ignorance of atlantia is only surpassed by what you think your eyes see in a video (slow motion at that). makes me wonder though, you call blows (none that i threw were flat), you expect holds to be called to question acknowledgement, you cast such a judgement on atlantian knights.... bet i know where you are from. but whatever.

  • and where do you think that is? as for atlantian knights, the atlantian thug is known through most of the known world.

  • maybe as a joke sure, but i know of only one place were people make snide comments about other kingdoms fighters. but as long as you feel good about your comments who cares really?

    logan

  • I've been to parts of 4 kingdoms. pretty much same story in each. That does leave quite alot of earth that may be different, but i do have better things to do than just discuss what gentles think of atlantia.

  • then you shouldnt have brought it up. but that fact that you "think" you saw flat shots and your willingness to call blows that didnt hit you are a testament to your reliablility and character. but please go back to those better things you were doing.

  • I must say I grow tired of this banter, Logan fought a clean fight. The other fighter admitted afterwards that he cheated. As for the "Atlantian thug" comment, that was just in bad taste. Duke Logan, I will hopefully be at Pennsic this year and would love the chance to get a few pointers from you.

  • i look forward to it. i try spend about an hour or two doing pick-ups after each battle so you should be able to find me.

    regards

    logan

  • @Wulfgar5000 and what, exactly, do you think he should have done? the rules say that the fight ends when the man being struck determines he has been bested. clearly this is what happened in this video. so wulfgar, please share with the rest of us how you would have handled it?

  • Good video!(Music choice was perfect)

  • I love this video! Outstanding job editing! Music is perfect!
