I guess that growing up in the 70's was pretty cool..My best friend had a Blue 3cyl 750, I would ride it when he wanted to ride my Harley.and I would twist the wick.and Bingo full power wheel stand.50 to 100yrds no problem.I never had the balls to bring it up to balance.I ride a Harley. lol. but Love all Bikes.

Wow, That thing sounds so sweet when the rpm,s come up. I used to have a '78 1000 Z1R and also borrowed a Susie RG 500 a few times. It had that scary power band shit in high rpm's.
I had a ported with 34MM mikuni's and chambered 72 H2 and mine did not rattle like that...I also had an AMA experts license in 250CC motocross and had extensive experience with 2 stroke hipo engines....that is piston slap, it either needs new rings or new pistons...

@08jakemate. All Kawasaki triples( H1 500 and H2 750) except kh500, like this have neutral at the bottom, N-1-2-3-4-5, it's kind of cool until you try to pull off from a stoplight in neutral and look like a squid lol.
Those bikes were so pipey, you can hear it start making power. It's too damn loud for me, it's a man eater if you ain't careful. NIce bike and cute kid.
can someone tell me the gear patern on these machines seems everyone clicks up for first gear unless they are taking off in second i put it down to a race bike gear patern 1 up and 4 down
great restor mate sounded fantastic even if not in full tune, the induction sound from the carbs was unbelievible wish you kept the throttle open a tad longer as it came onto the pipe.
wow, that sounds exactly like my 750 did, I had the denco chambers, used to have to refiberglass them every once in a while. That was the most unpredictably awesome bike I ever owned, all the crotch rockets I had after it just didn't have the same adrenaline rush.
Really nice bick man, it sounds Perfect! Sounds like it's wanting to rip your face off! I am now inspired to keep building my yamaha RD400, I know it's not near as good of bike as this but should still be fun. Your bike looks like it goes like snot! Nice Bike. I love the 750 triples. My Dad had one bakk in the early 70's. He used to take me for rides. He'd sit me on the tank, I'd hold on. I was probably 3-4 years old.
That's how I got demented too. I now own 12 Kawasaki triples and a half a dozen other two-stroke roadbikes and 13 vintage Arctic Cat snowmobiles. Videos of some of the snowmobiles are up, the bikes will follow this spring/summer.
Thank you SO much for uploading this video, my mouth fell open right away when hitting the powerband.. These bikes are surely one of the best sounding ever build. It's a shame modern bikes are about fuel injection, emission standards and plastic fairings.

I should probably reply to a few comments... This was the first "real" ride after a complete 4-year resto project so Yes, the clutch was slipping and jetting was "off". I ended up replacing the Barnett springs with FBG Heavy Drag Springs. Sytec pusher/cable so its still easy on the wrist. Jetting is now spot-on. Ive ridden the bike about 2400 miles since this vid (when the bike had only a couple of miles on it) and it has been as reliable as a hammer. Thanks for all the positive comments!!
When I used to ride, I had a "Flexi-Flyer" Suzuki T500 2 Stroke. Nowadays, it seems 4 Strokes have really evolved, what with multiple cams/ valves etc. But in those days, nothing really ran with 2 Strokes.
Sounds like it has a blow off valve!

I had a 1973 H2 750
I ported it and installed Bill Wirges pipes on it, bigger jets in the carbs.
Man was it a screamer!

I am now inspired to keep building my yamaha RD400, I know it's not near as good of bike as this but should still be fun. Your bike looks like it goes like snot! BTW your son is awsome man he just giggles and laughs when you crack the whip, I wish mine wasn'tscared of the noise. Nice Bike. I love the 750 triples. My Dad had one bakk in the early 70's. He used to take me for rides. He'd sit me on the tank, I'd hold on. I was probably 3-4 years old.

That's how I got demented too. I now own 12 Kawasaki triples and a half a dozen other two-stroke roadbikes and 13 vintage Arctic Cat snowmobiles. Videos of some of the snowmobiles are up, the bikes will follow this spring/summer.

I should probably reply to a few comments... This was the first "real" ride after a complete 4-year resto project so Yes, the clutch was slipping and jetting was "off". I ended up replacing the Barnett springs with FBG Heavy Drag Springs. Sytec pusher/cable so its still easy on the wrist. Jetting is now spot-on. Ive ridden the bike about 2400 miles since this vid (when the bike had only a couple of miles on it) and it has been as reliable as a hammer. Thanks for all the positive comments!!

I had one exactly the same, 1972 Gold H2, Denco Black Pipes, 36MM Mikunis, Denco Clutch Springs & H1 Clutch Plates.
Also, it ran way too rich in the mid range.
I never really got it sorted out, anyway, it ran very fast and was a wheelie king.
Your bike is the best sounding bike on Youtube.

When I used to ride, I had a "Flexi-Flyer" Suzuki T500 2 Stroke. Nowadays, it seems 4 Strokes have really evolved, what with multiple cams/ valves etc. But in those days, nothing really ran with 2 Strokes.
