yes a weed wacker might be a helpful tool. if not then buy a weed kill, (MAKE SURE ITS ONLY FOR WEEDS AND NOT PLANTS/FLOWERS!) and spray the weeds soon the weeds will have died and you could leave them in there to decompose.

Worst instructional video on edging I have ever seen, using a hoe to edge, are you serious. The best way to edge is with a gas powered trimmer, just turn it on its side and go at it, very easy.
