So if this was here to try and dilute the originality of Beck then your stupid. Ok, I gotta admit I never heard or seen this group before today. I was watching PBS arts channel nine in Nashville on Comcast and first heard the song and saw the video. What constitutes a "sell-out"? I recall an interview with Angus where he was asked about the new "avant-garde" direction they were headed with "They Were Wrong...". His reply was something along the lines of, "don't get used to it. The next album will probably be J-Pop or something." Call me crazy, but this song represents what I like most about the Liars: they'll explore any and every genre and non-genre there is, just because they can. And this is a damn good pop tune, in my estimation.

first time i saw Liars was here in chicago at the metro and they opened for Jon Spencer Blues Explosion which i thought was a weird coupling but Liars whipped ass and it was for their first album as well. i'm also looking forward to seeing them again on Feb. 5th again at the metro. Hearing these guys now, I can understand how they could be a success. But I heard them in concert (they were opening for Interpol) and they were horrible, no offense guys, but the vocalist must've been on mushrooms or something...it was painful for my ears.

The band like this should not open for Interpol. This is the common mistake in "music business". In perfect world band like this could open for Sonic Youth (or Sonic Youth could open for Liars). I like Interpol but experimental rock should not be mixed with mtv rock at one stage ;)
