OK so its "racist" to have a black lawn jockey and here in the States they have to be painted white/ white people werent slaves/they didnt have the 'job' of standing with that light so its not racist its a fact. Maybe thats why the guy a few blocks down keeps his lawn jockey BLACK
"Gloria, I just took the strangest phone call for you, uh, it was a man, and all he said was, 'Tell Gloria, that includes carpets and drapes.' And bang! He hung up."
He paid his mortgage..., now he just needed a heart attack and he'd have to sell his house..., Obama is waisting his time..., and insurance companies that don't pay unless you take them to court for 10-15 years isn't much help..., luckly 100,000 + people die accidentally in hospitals..., I wonder how many die on purpose..., life is strange, life is strange. Oh, sorry, keep on watching these comedies, everybody needs something they can laugh about, it's very therapeutic, hahaha
Yeah, she said that she lost her father early (I think) in the time when this show was on the air, and Carol O'Connor became a sort of substitute father to her. He also lost his adult son to suicide, and perhaps Sally helped fill a void. The emotion between them was real.
Carroll O'Connor's only child, Hugh, committed suicide in 1995. Sally Struthers' father passed away early in the run of All in the Family or before it came on. The tehder scenes between Archie and Gloria were very real like father and daughter. Many times I was moved to tears by them.
Considering that they were in the neighborhood for 20 years there were so many part time characters who could have been there - Stretch Cunningham, Barney Hefner, Cousin Bertha, Rev. Felcher, Louise Jefferson, to name a few.
That would have been one party if all those people were under one roof!
not sure what order these episodes are here on Youtube but I have a feeling that black jockey statue is going to do set George J off in some later episode
Is mike insane! or is he just plain stupid? 5 rooms, carpets/drapes, and only $165 a month!? I know this is 30 years ago, but still. Luckily archie "motivated" mike enough for him to take the offer.
Thank you so much for posting these episodes....do you have the episode where mike & Gloria move out and go to California? That one always is a tear jerker for me!!!! Again...many thnx!!! God Bless..
You're so right about that episode being a tear jerker. I remember Archie and Edith on the front porch as Gloria and Mike and Little Joey are leaving. The emotion between Mike and Archie was so good! What a moment! All of the emotional moments between Archie and Gloria make me tear up.
gloria is pretty hot here too bad she got sooooo FAT!!!!
