Yes, that's true. But the problem is the vast majority of American doctors are complete idiots which results in paying tens of thousands for a misdiagnosis and/or wrong prescribed medication. I've had family and friends nearly die in the care of our incompetent health system, and undergo unnecessary surgeries, and had to pay for it. Obama's plan will only work if he clamps down on the insurance companies, which he will not do.
