While James was a great guy & the love of her mortal life, that love story had a beginning (Hogwarts), middle(Romance) and end(Death do us part)
But love is never born, AND LOVE NEVER DIES. No one loved Lily more than Snape<3!

Lily may have loved Snape at one point but then her heart was stolen by James. For what we get from Lily's personality... she would not marry James if she didn't like him... especially after all the things he's done to our Snapey.
That's why Snape story is so sad... he loved someone that could not return his love the way he wanted too.

I think you said very true facts. And I agree with them! Yes... Lily's heart was stolen by proud and selfish boy - James. I don't understand Lily's behaviour to our Snapey and her decision to marry James as well.
James Potter wasn't selfish! In love it's all or nothing right? Wouldn't you do the same?
Snape wasn't a saint either... I have a feeling he would join the dark lord either he won Lily's heart or not...
Anyhow, nice video... it really gets us wondering the time we put on someone we love and then at the end we aren't loved back... which completely sucks!

Ah, Lily was one of the types that when she gets mad, it's for good, a bad trait, but you've gotta be careful how you treat those kind of people. But Snape was just a teenage boy who for the first time actually felt accepted into a society, no matter if it's good or bad .. come on, you felt like that at one point, too. And to a boy it's bros before hoes at that age .. too bad Snape didn't have the mind he had afterwards ://
Her heart wasn't stolen, her interest in James and Snape were not at the same time. She had pretty much dumped Severus when James tickled her fancy (Sorry, I've always wanted to use that phrase, to tickle the fancy ... )Thus, James didn't "steal her heart" away from Severus.
I don't think she dumped Severus when she noticed James. She had always noticed him, but in a bad way, he was annoying at first. Severus needed love and he got that from Lily but when he said "mudblood" that broke it and Lily didn't notice James until their seventh year romantically.
I don't think Lily was ever "in love" with Severus, that he was just her friend, and Mudblood was the last thing she was ever going to take from him, or on account of him.
And I'm not entirely sure he was in love with her so much as she was the one person to show him a little kindness, and he obsessed over keeping that little bit of affection.
It was never mentioned that he made an overture to gain her affection, but just worshipped her silently, so it's not even Lily's fault.

if you look at their patronuses
snapes was a doe, like lily's
but it think its because he was a bit obsessed with her
whereas james had a stag, which is compatable with a doe, so i think they are a better match
