You are allowed to advance on a passed ball even if you walk, I am an umpire and i know. the reason the ump is wearing his cap backwards is because the mask doesnt fit over the brim so the kid weasrs it backwards. You are required to wear a cap when you umpire even if it is backwards.... Know what your talking about before you post garbage like this

You are right about advancing on a wild pitch or passed ball, however that would only account for BB or IBB but not for HBP (which may be considered a "walk", too, as it is not an official term) because the ball immediately becomes dead. That, of course, not including runners forced to advance
