  • Where did you get your panel done?

  • I did it by myself: cut the aluminium, drilled all the holes and etched the layout using pnp blue sheets and hydrochloric acid.

  • Ah cool! I switched from ferric chloride to hydrochloric and h202. It certainly beats the pain of ferric chloride.

Do you coat the back or sides of the aluminum with anything to resist against the etch?

  • yes, i coated the backside with large adhesive tape. Bear in mind that pnp sheets may not stick very well on aluminium, resulting in broken lines, spots and scratches as you can see on my panels.

And pay attention to HCL + H2O2, the reaction with aluminium is much stronger than the one with copper

  • Ah cool thanks for the tip! I'll give it a shot.

  • so it is like the moog murf. i am going to build thins now!!!

  • Yes, somewath similar. Have fun with your project!

  • thanks i will ill video response it when i am finished with it

  • did you use a 4066 chip to allow each band to on individually?

  • if you mean inside the sequencer, yes, there are two 4066, but the bands are always put on in sequential manner, but they can switch really fast giving the impression than more than one band at time is on.

  • Totally freaking cool where did you get the board for that?????

  • thanks! well, there are a bunch of different circuits inside the filterbank, almost all of them are my ideas so no board available. For the filter board visit musicfromouterspace(dot)com and search for the 12dB state variable filter, the one without voltage controlled resonance.
