When I was younger and a teacher would whisper to me during a quiet time I would completely zone out to what they were saying and just listen... Sounds weird.
You make some good points about whispers, it's a very emotional thing and definitely calls back to a simpler, more secure, time. You remind me of a good friend of mine, watching your video felt just like she was talking to me.
Something that really also gives the chills is the sound of swallowing while whispering & smacking lips a little. I've looked all over & can't find the tern for the "ttst" noise the mouth makes while "adjusting saliva"...get what I'm saying?
sounds like you have a ghost in the background breathing in your mic.... lol. I <3 the feeling of whisper-chills.... I'ts like a drug. I feel like a zombie... Try playing a game while doing this. I can't even concentrate... but I don't care. Thank you. :) I'm off to bed...... wait... i need to climb a ladder to my bed... nevermind. Keyboards make awesome pillows. zzzzzz......
I love these videos...I also love the relaxing sound of keyboards...I'd like to overlay about 10 whisperchills on top of the other with keyboard fx & see how it sounds. :)
Sorry for leaving two messages but I left the previous one while listening and I must say, at 5:19, it sounded like someone else breathing, it scared the shit out of me for some reason. haha.
Hey look at that, Im on the highest rated comments thingy. Yay me. Did I sound excited there lol. err sorry bout that must of been typing in my sleep.again.
Oh my goodness! I am SO sorry to hear that! I see that this comment was left quite awhile ago---I apologize for not having gotten back to you sooner. My laptop broke, so I have been without a computer for so long. I still don't have a new one. Hence, no new videos. I hope you are healing well and it makes me feel wonderful to hear the videos help a little. I wish nothing but the best for you!
Wow, and here I thought I was the only one who got "whisper chills" when in school! And it always happened during a test, but yes, I never wanted them to stop whispering to eachother! Thanks again for the video!
lol I actually went into a travel agebst with one of my female friends about a year ago, and she was talking to the travel agent who was female also, and for some reason, they were speaking really quietly, what with that and the sound of the keys being tapped on the keyboard and pages turning, I was like a zombie sitting there, I could of sat there for weeks, but the whole place stared at me when I let out an involunatry snort, which kinda ruined things lol.
wow when i was in first grade we were doing math and the teacher leaned down to help me with a problom and he was whispering and i got chills from it. i thought no one else thought this way but its great i think im gonna make a whisper vid
I can't believe it, I thought I was alone in this for years! Turns out there are communities on youtube, people making videos like this. Before I found them I had to resort to origami videos (sound of paper), keyboard typing (clicking sounds) and even people showing how to draw on paper. All of these sounds with whispering most of all knock me out cold, no idea why, it's just the quality of sound I guess... Thank you for these vids, I'll have something to watch before sleep for months:)
Your videos are amazing by the way.. i'm 3 days overdue in my pregnancy.. and every morning i come on here, and listen to your videos.. its the only thing keeping my mind off it. Thank you!
Holy MOLY! Get that thing OUT! right? lol Congrats, though, and thank you SOOO much. That totally made my night to hear. You're a sweetheart. I hope everything goes smoothly with the birth. :-) Let me know how it goes.
My first whispering memory was in grade three also.. We were in silent reading, but i was working on a painting project .. because i had just got back from having the chicken pox, And a girl behind me was reading, but whispering the book to herself, and my whole body felt paralized.. like i couldn't even continue painting.. i just sat back and listened to her. Its amazing how 14 years later, i can remember that!
I agree with below mines... when I tell people I watch at least one whisper video before I fall asleep they think I'm weird! I'm glad I have people on here who understand the joy and relaxation of it. I know those chills you are talking about. Haha. Good job! ;D
curious. this "chills" phenomenon is fascinating me more and more since i've become aware of others (mostly on youtube thanks to the likes of whisperinglife since last summer). i wonder what the ratio of 'us' is to the average person who isn't moved by whispers at all? anyone come across any studies on this phenomenon? it's really grabbed my attention, moreso recently.
I think many people get the feeling they just don't know how to describe it. Maybe, some, don't actually let themselves slow down enough to really feel it or recognize it. Who knows.
I've gotten the chills - almost like pins and needles in my head - ever since I was a little kid when I'd hear people whispering. I used to think I was the only person this happened to as nobody seemed to relate when I'd explain the phenomenon to them. I couldn't be happier that there's now an entire whispering community on youtube; I think it's awesome. Every night when I go to sleep I put a whispering playlist on, and your videos are some of the best I've heard. Keep it up and thank you.
Oh wow! thank you so much! I'm overjoyed to hear it!! I can totally relate to your story! I hope you continue to listen, maybe even make some videos of your own. I mean, why not? lol
I love your voice. I love how you describe the way people whispering affected you. I thought I was the only person who felt that way. I wouldn't necessarily say I felt chills, it feels as if warm air has slightly solidified (like honey) and it's being poured on my scalp and the tingly sensation travels to my face and neck. It's very soothing. To me it feels like being in church or a quiet library, or when someone brushes your hair. I'm quite relaxed now - thank you!
That is one of the best descriptions of the feeling I have ever heard. I completely agree. Thank you! I'm happy to know there are others out there who know exactly what I feel lol
I'm the same way. Like, when people play with my hair, are super soft and gentle with things to the touch, or whispering. I haven't really experienced watching someone draw a picture, but maybe I'll have to look into it!
Me too! I also like hearing people softly hum or whistle to themselves, or softly tapping their shoe, or hearing pages of a book or a magazine. It's hard to explain but it's like they seem happy and at peace and then it puts me at peace, even in my most stressful moments.
had a friend in primary school who used to ask me to draw a lot... had the "chills". never experienced it with drawing. i get them mostly with whispering (not everyone does it for me though; the whole roof of the mouth thing works for me). also when i watch or give (but, curiously, not when i receive) a massage. google lita from massageclips... sends me over the edge!
Oh man! Lita is amazing. Watching her give massages and just the smooth, slow, gentleness to their strokes and hands is incredibly relaxing. It's so refreshing to know I am not the only one. I felt so weird....Now I don't so much. :-)
Thank you very much. I guess the vulnerability of it all gets me sometimes. But thank you for the compliment. I love your videos as well. I've fallen asleep to them a number of times. Thank YOU for YOUR videos.
lol i don't really care who it is that's whispering....as long as it relaxes me and gives me my "whisperchills" I am a happy camper. :-) I love the feeling.
:-) Thanks! I hope you enjoy them. This video was a little weird seeing as I am rambling about weird feelings about whispering. Some would find it odd. But thanks for the compliment!
damn your good your whispering is chilling =)

@LilDarlin621 I wondered that, too, at first. I think it's just something being accidentally brushed against the mic.
