  • just get the exact same Asian ornament, wood log, rocks, etc. At my local PetSmart. Need 6 to 8 pounds of gravel and I went with white gravel over sand (heard the sand can get all over everything when cleaning). Nice little tank. Ghost crabs are great for the bottom to help keep the tank cleaner. The corner net and magnetic glass cleaner is a must.

  • so, that's the filtration for that tank? ugh.. nevermind. they sure charge a pretty penny for crap. :( i'm very glad there's youtube videos of tank kits... it's quite a money saver. quaint setup though. :D

  • The tetra are panting because there is insufficient oxygen in the water, they are struggling to breathe...the water needs changing to stop build up of nitrites and ammonia which is highly toxic to your fish...it's cruel to keep them in these conditions & if you were in the UK you would face prosecution from the R.S.P.C.A - Shame on you!

  • how do you stop bubbles forming on the top of the tank?

  • @dessieb123 I use an Algae magnet to push the buubles to the open space at the top :)

  • its because their new dont worry

  • Did you change the lights in this video?

  • Panting update, for small fish,(especially the ones who don't move) they need to do that to breathe, so in other words, it's normal!

  • Hi there is your tank very loud my is and I cant get rid of the air bubbles with my Algae scrapper

  • I love your ornaments! Where did your girlfriend get the item on right of screen...the little rock man looking ornament?

    Cool!

  • I'm not sure he answers questions about this tank. Haven't seen any replies. Anyway nice tank. How it it holding up now that you have had it a bit?

  • yea where did you get the decorations there so neat.

  • Hi we're did you get your rocks and stones from, your tank looks great

  • hi dude, nice tank. Where did you get the oriental type ornament and also the large rock, I like it ?

  • @jgbartsoff The chi is much smaller.. but makes relaxing water noises, I have both but i prefer the fluval edge instead.

  • How the hell did you fit everything in that tank through that small hole..

  • could you pls tell me where u got the decor

    thnks

  • Bought one yesterday. Guy at the store assured us we don't need a heater. Read some other stuff online that agreed, but the jury's really still quite out. Did you end up getting a heater? Thanks - hope our tank turns out a nice as yours! :)

  • Hi, do you have any details on the decorations and sand please? (Links would be epic)

  • @rowe6 petsmart.com has the river stone cave.

  • You have no heater, and you don't ever change the water? Wow, buddy. Good luck keeping your tropical tetras alive for more than a few months. Clean fish or not, I don't suppose you'd like going for a swim in a large bowl of toilet water. Imagine breathing and living in that water. Yeah, didn't think so.

  • Hey, your tank looks so great! You convinced me to get one! How are you getting on with it now? How big are your tetras?

  • You are a lucky man. Love the way your girl decorated this tank. Just got the same one and am looking for ideas. Decorating a tank can be a daunting task.

  • What type is the sand

  • you dont do water changes? WTF! your fish are gunna die..small fish may have 'small poop' but that 'small poop' accumulates and eventually your nitrate levels will be through the roof. you should deffinately do water changes..unless you dont care about your poor fishies ): if you dont use a gravel vac then at LEAST change the water ):

  • @xXForbidd3n3vil It's fairly obvious he doesn't care. To him it's just a cool office decoration, not a bunch of little fishy lives he's responsible for.

  • was wondering how your Tetras are doing after all this time?

I'm looking to put about 8 Neon Tetras to start for about 4 months, then I will be adding 3 small Cherry Shrimp.

  • anyone know if its possible to fit a Mini Heater in the middle of the filter media and cartridge? that would be a better sight than seeing a big black heater inthe background of the aquarium

  • @chunkylover817 I just hide the heater behind a plant or piece of driftwood. Problem solved.

  • Hi I'm considering to buy this but I need to know how big the hole up is because I wan't to put in some bigger things I couldn't find anything in the internet so can you please tell me the mesurements of it? it would be very important to me thanks :)

  • Where is your heater? I LOVE your tank and decor.

  • Nice setup... Just ordered my Fluval Edge. Question for ya, how many pounds of sand are you using in this vid? I need to figure out my shopping list :)

  • Thanks for posting. I just ordered this tank on Amazon and your video was really helpful in understanding the concept of this tank. Great layout of plants and wood.......using the white sand is a really good idea in such a small space.

    Thanks again

  • Hi There,

Where did you find the decor? Just bought the Edge and having trouble finding simular decorations. Thanks!

  • @lgogis they sell the exact decor in this video at Petsmart.

  • those fish hanging out at the back there giving a side eye - 'watchu you lookin at willis?!'

  • @bakushan what camera are u using to video this??

  • Hi, nice tank. are those plants real. they look good

  • Hey, does it make a lot of noise ?

  • Comment removed

  • @Neo1981dk

Not really, all you hear is a low hum sound. If you take the lid off of the filter itself it even makes it quieter.

  • tiny fish have tiny poop. so true..

  • Your tank decor is amazing. I have the same tank with 4 male guppies at the moment. Trying to get some opinions on adding either a different colour of guppies or another species altogether to my tank. Any ideas? Are 4 guppies too much as is? Thanks!

  • how do you put large items thru the small opening on top?

  • @popeyeswife

I have the exact same driftwood decoration (though mine is laying down flat, and his is up on its side)

and it is quite a pain to get it in and out. I usually have to twist and turn it until it fits. And once it's in, you can't rotate it around.

  • 2 things. What substrate are you using? It's to fine. It looks great! and second if you think the fish gasping is possibly a result from not enough oxygen then the water line should be a little bit lower so that some air bubbles are cycling through the water. Just a possibility.

  • Is that pool filter sand?

  • @Mouajimmy. The Fluval Edge instructions say to cycle the tank for 3 days befor adding fish so am sure the fish are fine.

But dude the tank is look good. quick question can the tank be used without the base? i have heard that the base is quite flimsy plastic for me the tank needs to go into a confined space it fits... just, but losing the base would give a extra few CM. Or would using it without the base cause problems for the filter hider box at the back or w.e you want to call it?

  • takes longer then 1 week to cycle.... to be honest i think most of ur fish is dead?

  • i love it!! im buying one tomorrow, great decor. thanks for the video.

  • nice man

  • hi name Brandon Pharris i jas buy this tank orange edge i holp fun this tank

    thank you video

  • all small tetras do that theyre not really panting they are trying to stay sill

  • hi i watched a video on here just a min ago he say's you need a heater for it? in in most video's people dont have heater's in them do you need a heater? may thank's jake

  • this is the tank i want for my room i love the way its set out :) very good x

  • how much is it? is it pricey?

  • I love the way you have the Fluval Edge set up, can you tell me where you found the aquarium decorations?

  • How do you remove a dead fish ?

  • @drychalice lift the light top and the light and then theres a big hole did you not notice between 0:50 Till 1:05

  • tiny fish have tiny poop. lol

  • Its very nice! are these plastic plants or live plants?

  • hi, i was jsut wondering what ornatments you had in there :) thanks

  • Best tank I have seen, I am so getting one!

  • awesome:) your tank is amazing...it made me order the exact same one today:) out of interest....are the plants planted in the sand just??? do they not need soil??? also can you give me the name of the sand??? any advice would be awesome:)

  • Hi, I'm getting one soon for my birthday. How do you clean the glass? Isn't it annoying?

  • absolutly LOVE this tank, tell me, how are you heating it?? were is your heater????

  • @HiddenAura1 I do not have a heater.

  • nice tank but fuck tony romo

  • @rootbeer2551 Thanks. Tony need to stop sucking for sure.

  • @Bakushan it sucks that theres going to be a lockout

  • Nice tank! but corrys need a school to be happy.

  • @ThePencilShredder Oh? He just sits there and chills.

  • @Bakushan he is probably fine haha i wasnt bashing u. the tank is sick! just sayin corrys love to chill with eachother.

  • nice set up, i got one last month

  • How are you heating your tank?

Neons need heated water, I can't see your heater anywhere?

  • @xMsValox

I have the same tank, no heater the neons do fine (about 3 months)... the lights may heat it enough not sure.

My tetras get a little tired, you gotta turn down the flow rate on the filter otherwise the current wears them out too much.

  • @zenvent Yes. The lights are very hot. I dont run a heater.

  • @xMsValox There is no heater. The neons are dead. I have different fish now.

  • thats a cool tank!!

    Where is the heater at??

  • @Galaxy1423 No heater.

  • @bukushan hey hows that sand working out? I have a mixture of black and purple gravel in my tank, thinking about changing it up after having the fluval for 2 years, how do you change water without sucking up all the sand?

  • @Mikenopolis I dont do water changes since the fish are so small and clean. The sand looks great.

  • @Bakushan

Wait, no water changes at all? That's amazing.

  • @Bakushan you don't clean it? O_o... and it is still so clean? So you just have to feed them and thats all?

    Your tank looks AMAZING!!!!

  • @Bakushan it looks a bitch to clean with that small hole in the top? is it? :D

  • @Bakushan Well, it's been 6 months. Are the tropical fish you have still alive after half a year of swimming in freezing cold, poop-filled water?

  • i just got a edge tank today is it ok to add more deco and plants later on

  • How do you take out the air bubbles from the top of the aquarium?

  • @alexkaramanolis Theres a algae cleaner that you can buy for the tank, and if you bring the bubbles towards the opening they just escape =]

  • @alexkaramanolis A magnetic glass cleaner.

  • It's extremely expensive.

  • nice thank. have also a fluval with crystalred shrims. where did you bought the ornament. i like it. cant find it nowhere. hope i can order it somewhere,

    greetings from the netherlands.

  • I love your edge! I keep coldwater fish and they have all died so my reveiw of this tank is bad, but then i got kyle! And hes still alive, hes a yellow comet! I think my fish were allergic to the plant i put in, none of the fish have died since i took it out. Your desighn skills are great, i love it :) Id love to copy your desighn but i dont have money to waste, im saving up for a mothers day suprise, lol!

  • Wait, wouldn't the Tetra's get sucked into the filter tube, because they're so small, lol.

  • @SiloNova25 Not yet.

  • @SiloNova25 Acctually, i have this same fish tank, and i have neon tetras, too. the filter tube has a net looking vent, so that small fish cannot get sucked up

  • @SiloNova25

If you get the pre-filter sponge there is absolutely no chance of this happening - its a couple of quid (UK) but well worth it. HTH

  • Hey man i love your tank keep up the good work :)

  • Id be surprised if they arent all dead given the panting they are doing.

  • that's a really nice setup

  • Hey where is the heater in this tank? =P

  • Please don't tap the glass!

  • slick lookin tank!

  • Nice, i am trying to get fish for my office. would you say this is a good tank for an office. i don't want to change water alot. I would suggest an airstone ( it will add to the looks too) for the fish if they pant.

  • I can't even keep a Chia pet alive.

    That's a bad ass tank.
