I hope with my mods I am able to run anywhere close to where your at I would be MORE then happy with like a 14.5.. But I'll ahve even better mods then you do in this video just shitty weather conditions (arizona ftl)..How is your CAI set up exactly? What size and where do you run it too?
@fwdGTP Did you have any KR with this set up? I have my pulley and overkill tune im just waiting to put them on. Current mods on my car are Pacesetter headers w/ 3" DP, CAI, 235/60/16s or my 225/55/17s, Colder Plugs, 160F Tstat, New Wires. I don't have a wideband scan gauge so I am hoping I have 0 KR
@knaxon You might have some depending on how the tune is, But the Headers might help you out a lot, as for that setup I never really so I couldnt tell you. Didnt seem to get any faster using higher octane so it may have not had any KR. But the ZZP PCM commands really rich AFRs, so it may have gotten rid of KR through that.
@fwdGTP I've had really bad luck with zzp pcm's I am never buying one from them again. They basically blew up my transmission and other shit with just a basic tune. (they sent the GTP one for my GT). I've heard great things about Will @ overkill so I'll have to test it out he tuned it for my mods. I am just to lazy to put the stuff on the power I have now scares me still.
yeah you should have little to no KR. I have the exact setup pretty much minus the headers and i have a little KR when im under light acceleration in 4th gear.
so thats why i push the gas hard if i wanna accelerate. :P
im getting speed daddy headers and 3" borla in the spring and a retune.
Nice car, i gotta 04 gtp with zzp 3inch downpipe and their 2.5 inch catback exhaust and the air intake for the engine n that thing haul ass. I wish i could post vids but i dont have a camera yet lol but ne who nice gtp keep it clean
I know he has a cat-back and intake. He was talking about running more boost. But I'm not sure if he changed his pulleys. He was doing 14.25's and couldn't break into 100mph
Hm, i was running better than 14.2s, even with a broken MAF sensor lol. I was running really low 14s at 94-95 lol But with a pulley, they become a good amount quicker.
I had Nitto NT555r tires on my Regal, it was very consistant and I never had to do burnouts. I highly recommend Nittos for anybody that has a stock torque converter and a few mods. Do you powerbrake your car when you launch it???
I dont know, being old, 225k miles lol. It was just after i got my intercooler all installed lol. my car kinda went down hill from there, was really fast at first, then had trouble starting, then it spun a rod bearing. All this was in one day lol. Had the intercooler for about a week, but had fuel leaks at the fuel rail, so i very really got to run it much. I'm building a whole new motor, so it should be pretty quick.
damn did you run on DR's or street tires? hell i have headers/3.4 mps/canned zzp tune and the best i could do on dr's is a 13.8 @ 2.0 60's. i need more launch practice. good runs man
Probably pretty cheap it's just cutting and welding and you need a 2.5" pipe for it, maybe 4 or 5 feet long. I'm guessing less than $100 for everything. I still have the resonator on mine because it keeps it quiet... lol

Nice launch!!!

Are you still running the stock front manifold? or do you have a PLOG or headers instead? how much KR are you seeing?
JohnnyV84 3 years ago
At the time i was running a front manifold i ported myself, but now im running headers.
fwdGTP 3 years ago
Man... gotta love automatics, very minimal wheel spin even for a FWD.

yea i didnt spin at all

arre420 3 years ago
street tires, Falken ZE 329, 1.98 60'
Last time i went to the track it was really cold and the track prep sucked and the best time i could get was 13.81 with 2.0 60'.

does a 3 inch down pipe mean your just strait piping from the cat?
ChrisMurphy15 3 years ago
no it just means i have 3" piping from the exhaust manifold to the cat i have 2.5 inch stock exhaust after the cat
fwdGTP 3 years ago
ohh thanks man. how much do you think it would cost for a shop to delete the ubend and resonator?
ChrisMurphy15 3 years ago

fwdGTP 3 years ago
where did you get your 3inch down pipe what brand is it and is it a bolt in or did you need it welded to the stock exhaust
nickv11763 3 years ago
It's the ZZP 3" to 2.5" bolt-in with cat Bolts into any stock or 2.5" aftermarket exhaust
fwdGTP 3 years ago
c now it looks good lol ...and it really doesnt look like a downhill track anymore
