wtf? please dont disgrace boxers name with that comparison. That is thezerg, one of the ugliest programers around

  • @Fetcha200 haha...BoxeR was on SKT in Brood War, not HERO.

  • We all have seen American FootBall players, Basketball players, Olympics, Soccer, and even UFC fighters get sentimental. They are all in a very competitive sport that they poor their whole life into.

Also, someday, I hope I can visit to South Korea. I study Korean when ever I get the chance.

  • @hihelloyo it is pour* not poor

  • GEEEE GEEEEEE!!!!!

  • If you failed your chance of earning money on playing your favourite game or hobby, you would be sad too!

hahaha this is a funny ass video though! Thumpbs up for sure

  • FUCK. starcraft isnt fun when u play it like this.

  • @yamum0433 Starcraft, it's serious business.

  • sounds like herbert from family guy is singing parts of this song

  • This game is a constant battle of concentration, strategy, and tactic. Why are people calling it "lame"? Really, it can be (or more) exciting compared to sports like football; it just requires some THINKING ;) This is e-sports, and soon, it will take over the world. Get used to it, son!

  • @CookieParadox ...... Stfu.

  • @DarenHD As you wish, Sire Fag.

  • loser dont get anything?

  • @nuke1989 Depends really.

in the GSL even if you lose in the ro64 you are guaranteed some money

  • i think sc world is pretty bad those coaches making all the money

  • the song is sad...

  • REAAAACH </3

  • JAEDONGGGGG

  • everyone just calm the fuk down. Ok, I understand how some people might take this whole gaming business lightly, but to South Koreans, this is a really big part of our culture and it has become something much bigger than just a computer game. In my opinion, you guys shouldn't point out all the negative aspects and make stereotypes on South Koreans from what you know. If you truly want to see this argument from our perspective, why don't you pay a visit and you will learn to respect other culture

  • @paulinac92 I'd love to live in South Korea just because of the culture, it seems awesome over there :)

  • @paulinac92 its a better culture than praising other unbrained things just like drugs..

  • @paulinac92 North Korea is far more "cultured" than southern faggots

  • @Punish00 lol they have pretty much the same culture.

  • @paulinac92 Well said there. Very well.

  • @paulinac92 I agree. Too many ignorant assholes who are willing to talk shit but aren't willing to learn some respect!

  • @2:19 whose that?

  • If you get eliminated from the tournament, you're shipped to North Korea for military duty.

  • i guess gold farming is always a second option

  • GG Guys :)

  • depressing video.

  • Chuck Mantoss Norris is pro.

  • The ones who took their keyboards are going to hang them selves with the cord

  • this is why you should never take game so seriously...

  • @Maxcloudy Starcraft is more than a game, it's a sport.

  • @faeritenshi No.. I am pretty sure this is just a silly game. Sports take physical skills.

  • @893165009 SO the chess is a silly game?..No, it has estrategy, control, inteligence, same like starcraft the only diference is in the game mode, its a game, we know, but to be a pro gamer u need the same dedication like in a physical game. So is not just a game, not all are shoots, kill people or just attack....

  • @893165009 Pool, Bowling, Golf, Nascar, and Poker are all official sports. SC takes a lot of endurance and there isn't a limit to how well you can play. Welcome to the world of Professional Gaming. :]

  • @Maxcloudy They are getting payed for playing of course they will be disappointed if they lose =P

  • @Maxcloudy why not..some of them make six figures a year from it

  • no harakiri / seppuku ? lol

  • did they have blue-screen or girlfriend on msn said she needs a real man??

  • heartbreaking :'(

  • Further, when I have a few years work experience, I'll be earning close to the figure you put down there - guaranteed, every year, for as many years as I want to keep my job. It can be long-ish hours, and a bit stressful at times, but so can playing SC at that level - especially if your paycheck depends on winning.

I'm pretty sure over the course of my career, I'll be making far more money than even the best SC player in the world does out of SC contracts.

  • @BoinyBunny Obviously, you'd be making money far more than them. The South Korean Wan is worth a lot less than the American/Canadian dollar.

Then again why did I bother mentioning it. :) (Old joke)

  • What an incredible insight into a culture so different to ours it's almost incomprehensible. I can only imagine the reaction if I announced that I was quitting my office job (which I only started this year!) to go pro in SC.

And @ILuvhFood eSports is like any other sport - if you are exceptionally skilled, and exceptionally lucky, you will have an amazing, albeit, very short lived career, where you make amazing money and have some level of fame.

  • T_T xD

  • Not only that, but SC helps you mentally in keeping up with such things as reactions and stuff. Physically? these people arnt the "fat, nerdy" people in america. Some of them do other things such as TV shows. SC is used in college for strategies and such for war. It also is used by the navy and army to improve their strategic mind.

Now think, you can be working at a office making what? $100,000 a year at max? Not even. These pros, when at their peak make up to $ 400,000 a year such as Boxer. GG

  • \Ffor those who are stupid to see the truth in e-sports. Yes its gaming to make your career, which may be looked down upon.

However, a corner desk job 5-9m 5 days a week, or gaming all day or whenever they can, then playing a couple games at a tournement will probably make the same pay. Most likely, these gamers make more money than you, and are more popular and well known. 99% of youtubers probably will end up no more than the average person. These gamers inspire the next gen. of esports.

  • why do they all have ear buds and head sets?

  • @DrBubbaa The buds are the actual headphones, the headsets together with the booths are for soundproofing i.e. so that they wouldn't be able to hear the crowd or anyone else screaming what the opponent is doing.

  • @DrBubbaa listen to a match commented by koreans, its all about screaming like mad, its insane!! i would cut my ears if i were those kids

  • This makes me a little sad, but overall the urge to just break out into laughter is overwhelming.

  • @simplewhimsy lmfao, best comment about sc i ever read

  • OWNED BITCHES

  • idk how they aint fat

  • asian dont get fat easy like european or north american, they have diferent metabolism, most are thin@Mackedinger

  • Im not much of an emotional man but this tugs me heart strings. Poor nerds : (

  • Bobraie Canadian has a bit of French Culture so u can't understand what really losing means since u guys don't know what winning is ;P

  • It's hard, these guys are playing for the food on their table.

  • @Leziii LOOOL?? which country r u from ?? u want to know how we earn our money jerk? then go to southkorea and get ur childish brain teached ! southkorean people have more rich people than germany, or spain, or france etc. a family appartment (NO HOUSE) in seoul costs more than 2.000.000dollar. a house... money u will never expact! so be carefull what u r saying or thinking! this are pro-gamers who earn money because of their talent. dont wanna know ur talent lol. 너 누구야? 병신개새꺄 ㅋㅋㅋ 씨발;;;

  • @Yongmini82 My talent involves someone you are very familiar with, and it's due to that talent that you are alive today. Also, your real name is accident.

  • @Leziii ok, YOU are just fail ! i think - no i am sure, u r a person who lives here in youtube. u guys r talking always talk the same shit, but never were in korea. so u know the whole world right? because u r a canadian guy!? a WHITE person and thats why u r better ? the world dont need people like u. people like u r living with their obsession. SOUTHKOREA isnt northkorea or china. maybe u should take ur trips to southkorea or japan (if u have the money)!?! it would be an experience for u.

  • @Yongmini82 dude calms down, this isnt serious bussiness at all, dont feed the troll

  • @Leziii ? they aren't on commission dumbass

  • @MarioBrosClassic If you consider how much they have to give up just to compete on the proscene in Starcraft with its amazingly brutal training regime, the threat of not having a "job" at the end of it could be pretty crushing. They may not be on commission but don't do well and good luck being able to continuing the starcraft path. A path you may have given up education, family, girl friends etc.. for

  • @Leziii What?

They are earning no less then $50k a year lol

  • @MrTheObvious no.. just no

  • @MrTheObvious umm idk about that but

i saw nal ar-interview and he makes 200k a year

im pretty sure it depends on how good u r

  • @MrTheObvious

Most 20 year olds dont even make close to $40k a year.

  • @Leziii lol, no they aren't moron. you make it sound like it's some insane 3rd world situation there where they play in little huts just to earn enough money to buy food.

  • Comment removed

  • @suberkin they are getting payed anyway. they just get some extra if they win, lol.

  • @TomValedro That is the situation for a B-teamer. Nobody wants to start a downward tumble into obscurity. Regardless, there is a lot of money and pride on the line in every match, so it doesn't matter either way.

  • @Leziii

if you quit school for a professional gaming carreer thats pretty damn stupid

  • @Capeau They never quit school. A lot of the teams have players that are Straight A students, apparently its a must.

  • @TrilogyLegend

i know, but leziii was talking about bringing food on the table. Which is not that big of a problem if you're still a student.

  • @TrilogyLegend I somehow doubt that...I remember seeing a documentary of Flash when he was in school, and he was just a kid who sleeps during class, and barely passes....

  • lol

  • Seems that "Bobraie's" daddy never bought him the computer he always wanted when he was little. Dude, some people find ART as a lifestile, for me it has nothing fun about it, but when people does something and just fills their soul... well so be it.

The cry baby is you right here, not these progamers that trained y fighted and lost for what they like the most. @sshole

  • 2:04 how fucking old is that kid wtf

  • Yea, and boxer is smiling on the other side of every guy shown.

  • Why the fuck are they sweating? Also, lol Korea.

  • because believe it or not starcraft is intense game that requires lots of stamina

  • lol Reach is like im too manly for this...

  • its like end of their career

  • i think starcraft is a sport in korea

they even got 2 chs dedicated to starcraft

some high schools have star craft as a class

they also have large competitions and even host them in stadiums

dont worry theyre required to have 2 hrs of exercise per day

  • dude.. there are other people that spends more money on stupid things.. like lil wayne and birdman they spend millions dollars on chains and clothes

  • Yes and I don't respect them too.

  • isnt star craft a sport in korea?

according to my friend they even have classes for star craft and have large competitions there

hosted in stadiums with large screens to show the action

heck just search up korea starcraft finals or something

theyre also required 2 hrs of exercise

  • @Bobraie

Asian is not a culture. It may be "just a fucking game", but when you put your heart into something and end up losing it doesnt feel good. Same reason why people start fights over football teams.

  • Don't be so dismissive. Boxer made a very tidy six figure salary + endorsements.

Other pro gamers make a decent living out of playing games too. If someone is following their dream and being successful then good on them. If that isn't making something of their life then I don't know what it.

How much do you make btw?

  • That's your opinion.

Different people have different life goals though.

Who are you to say what other people are doing is "bad?"

If they are enjoying what they do, making a good living, and not hurting others what's your problem?

    Suggest you get over it.

  • +1 man .

    Learn French

  • @Bobraie money, prize, blah blah blah :D the most important is money dude :D

  • ...Bobraie, you realize that the biggest "burliest" football players ball their eyes out when they lose sometimes. Why? Because they put so much heart and time into something. Because it means nothing to you does not me it means nothing to them

  • This is a sport. Just because it has no physical contact does not mean anything. These players are some of the most highly payed athletes in korea. It is just a different culture that you clearly dont understand. As for the "friends" and "wifes" Most of them are married and most of their friends are sitting right across from them playing more starcraft... You just clearly dont understand

  • @Bobraie . These guys probably make more than you, and guaranteed, are far more popular than you ever will be. And don't give me that bullshit athletes dont cry... They DO cry.

  • Britney spears do more money than me, whore do more money than me, Drug dealer do more money than me, Starcraft no-life do more money than me... LOL

  • jealous?... LOL

  • ok, maybe we do have problems, but then again, it might be the other way around. how can you be so narrow minded to judge a population's norm based on your perspective?

"Starcraft is really not a sport," it may not be a classic definition of a sport but people still refer to it as one. if you want a better name, call it e-sport. and i assure you there are plenty of e-sports going on around the world, not just in east asia.

  • @Bobraie

First of all, learn to use proper grammar when you comment. Second, why bother watching this video if you hate the game so much? Thirdly, these people train every day to be as good as they are at what they do, and so what if that is a video game. Just because it isn't officially labeled a "sport" doesn't matter. It is entertainment (same as any sport) and it requires much quicker thinking and skill than you obviously posses.

  • I prefer to have ski skill than starcraft skill lol. Starcraft skill is useless and only proof that you take too much seriously computer game.

  • dude you dont get it.. starcraft is a staretgy game. you have to be extremly smart in order to play it.not easy getting in to the league

  • strategy game but it's also a COMPUTER GAME!!! Like minesweeper, solitaire...

  • your just jealous

  • no, I only want to wash uncultural stuff.

  • It's a game, like hockey or soccer. It just takes different skills to get good at it. Mental skills instead of physical. And in the long run, I'd say mental skill is the more valuable of the two.

  • Maybe you could try using your "intellectual" to check you spelling. And looking through this thread, you have been the one "arging" the most so I guess that makes you the "looser". See what I did there? Just further proof of your low "intellectual". One last thing, you at the Olympics this year? No? Well, keep trying buddy, we're all SURE you'll make it.

  • Comment removed

  • Oh the irony. You made a spelling error in your first sentence. GG!

  • Note the quotations...

It was his error and I was quoting it.

  • I meant the "check you spelling" part ;)

  • @paradial

Haha, nice. Didn't even notice that. Right spelling, bad grammar ;)

  • Bobraie

Your just a victim of political correctness, imagine in Korea where everyone thinks what people from around here think of hockey as Starcraft, and your so called "cool sports" is a few guys infront of a TV with beer & chips, its very athletic, we live in the digital age, the olympics are 2000 years old, korea is way ahead of us

  • so freaking true!

  • less QQ more pew pew...

  • they are probably thinking. oh shiet. how am i gonna get my contract renewed with this bs performance. that fucking 15 year old just raped me.

  • bisu always looks like he's going to cry after he loses a game.

  • stork cried after he lost to julyzerg.

  • and after he lost to jaedong.

  • whoops that should be BeSt.

  • Don't feed the trolls.

  • Good people dont speak in this way. Immature, racist, small minded people do. know?

  • One described you.

  • Im white, now what?

  • Haha black racist ^_^

  • the angry german kid should've been on here

  • No flash? You should of seen him after he did the 14cc against jaedong.
