  • IF SOME ONE CAN SHOW ME FUNNIER PROMO'S THAN BOBBY HEENAN ....I LIKE TO SEE IT ....GOLD ...PURE GOLD

  • Greg Valentine is probably the greatest wrestler to never win a world championship.

  • can I go back to this Oakland house show in 1985 as opposed to any major PPV in todays wrestling??

  • White-sock, 8-5 clock punchers! Classic!

  • 80's wrestling was more entertaining because everything seemed real. The trash talk was realistic. Racist to a degree and personal. That's how you got proper heat. You insult people, a culture or whatever it takes to get people to hate you. In today's day and age the only person I see getting "heat" is Vicki Guerrero because of her annoying ass voice and screaming. Piper, Hammer and Heenan showed what it truly takes to be a heel. Culture is different today I get it, but this IS wrestling!

  • I hope you all starve to death!!! LOL. Classic

  • 3:24 ghostbusters promo for wwf more to come it was great for 1984 hit movies beverly hills cop & Ghostbusters to play their copyright theme in 1985 at the time with all the 80's classic music that could do wwf programming like phil collins for saturday night's main event too bad beverly hills cop & a bunch of 80's that air on wwe on demand are dubbed as we know if they show this on demand theyll dub ray parker's theme as well

  • bobby heenan looks like he is going to have to slap a bitch

  • i was 8 years old when this was taped and watching wwf all the time. in my opinion, todays wwe product lacks the excitement that the 80's delivered. i think saturation has a role, but i think the characters today are less appealing.

  • If they would have given the Hammer a better gimmick and Heenan instead of Hart he would have been a great world champion because as far as matches go he's never had a dud that I've seen.

  • cant wait to see the greg valentine dvd wwe is putting out....should be great for a great wrestler

  • I'm from Fiji, and I must say, Piper really has our number!

  • What's wrong with Orton? His arm's not broken.

  • no valentine, no matter how much you scream, you will never be the "master of figure fore leg lock" you cheap imitator.

  • HAPPY 1985 EVERYBODY :)!!

  • "...white sock, 8-5 clock-punchin' humanoids...." Heenan is one of the funniest man I have ever seen anywhere.

  • Mean Gene is possibly the greatest MC of all time - - why has he never done the Oscars?

  • wow rany orton is gonna look like his dad come in 20 years, live it up now!

  • "...And you're not invited...In facts, you look like the guy lookin' over the wall!!!" That, my friends, is an insult!!!

  • Truly, truly the Golden Ages of professional wrestling; notice one thing about the promos with Mean Gene: he usually ends up getting insulted with some quick comments by the other guys!

And gool ol' Mean Gene just plays along as part of the acts!!!...

Yes, I do agree with you on that, brother...the managers were usually the meanest ones!!!

  • Orton's voice is so cool... That's something you don't hear in wrestling anymore; those big, distinctive, intimidating voices. Gee, I miss these days. Anyone else feel that the absence of managers is affecting the quality of today's wrestling. it just seems to be one of the missing elements that made it work: A guy has no personality, so what, stick him with a witty , cocky, loud mouth & all he has to do is get it done in the ring. I think some careers in WWE could have been salvaged this way..?

  • Damn, Valentine and Muraco must have a Grand Wizard working for them.

  • Heenan was the best at these promos.I really miss those great wrestling shows.Mean Gene was a great straight man for The Brain.

  • This must have been some card. Note the gay undertones between Piper and Orton.

  • love love love the racism in old wresting promos.

  • "He's my bodyguard. His name's Ace." LOL

  • Classic promo's!

  • Today's "wrestlers" need to study promos like these.

  • Goddammit, you gotta love Piper's promos!

  • CLASSIC.

  • tna and wannabe wwe wrestlers, take note, you need cut promos like these guys!!!

  • "You know who the strongest person is??...His mother...you try raising that dumbell....absolute classic Heenan...the best!!

  • Heenan is a LEGEND and is one of the best ever.

  • @SaraBayPro Fun to watch Okerlund trying not to laugh at Heenan's joke.

  • Heenan and heel Piper interviews, it doesn't get any better.

  • I can only imagine how much a pain in the ass (albeit necessary) doing these promos were for both mean gene and the wrestlers. I mean doing the promos for the same matches ALLLL over the country and specifing the arena they would perform. wow

  • always u post good , wicked, kickass classic vids. thanks u

  • Did anyone notice that Greg had a Seatlle Seahawks shirt on? I miss those house shows though. Especially here in Worcester, Mass.

  • This was the best wrestling, outstanding interviews that we will never see in wrestling again. I sure wish I could turn back the clock and relive the great times at those matches we used to go to every month.

  • AMEN BROTHA!

  • Piper=GOD of PROMOS

  • I take that back, Bobby Heenan = God of Promos

  • This whole segment is CLASSIC!! takes me back to my childhood...I love it!!!!!!

  • Jesus, if I watched wrestling in 1985 I would have SOOOO been AT this show...

  • Going to a house show in the 80's for the WWF was awesome. I usually went there wound up with a few friends or my cousin. 3 hrs of a great friggen time. And in Chicago they were in the suburbs and on a Saturday usually. Oh the babe fest there to OW!!!! Girls with barley much on lol

  • No wonder Randy turned out to be a little gay

  • Yeah, but that does not explain why Cena turned out a lot gay

  • Nah, they didn't need the heat lol

  • Yeah, the heels back in those days weren't afraid to get a little politically incorrect to get heat.

  • i love it send u back to taco. i miss the 80s that shit today..every uptight asshole would give shit about bein offensive against beaners

  • heenan is the most hilarious guy in wrestling of all time . . . HOWEVER, he looks a like a times square pimp reject in that get up he's wearing. that HAD to be done as an inside joke or he is maybe covering up something. idk.

  • How many free bowls of soup did he get for getting that hat?

  • Man, I love Valentine's shirt :D

  • "You look like the guy who was looking over the wall at the last one."

Heenan without a doubt the greatest manager of all time and one of the funniest men in wrestling.

  • lol!!

  • Hogan's mother raised the biggest dumbbell in the world. Heenan was one of the funniest people of all time.

  • another classic piper and heenan promos.

  • Gotta love the racist promos heels gave in the 80s!

  • this is my bodyguard.. his name is ace. God i loved the oakland coliseum and the cow palace in san francisco, being a bay area native myself.

  • Some great wrestling legacy up there with Piper, Pat Patterson and Ray Stevens... plus, no one did the juice like Mark & Jose...Greg Valentine has a lot of charisma when he'd doing the bigot gimmick... the more I watch these promos, the more it reminds me rassllin will NEVER be as good as this again :(

  • Freedom of Speech.

  • I used to have the same coat Heenan is wearing. It really was a fox collar.

  • this is kinda of out of character for bobby. he wouldnt wear something like that! I like him in suit and tie and of course the sequuence (sp) coats

  • Love it. Bad guys are hilarious
