He will reach up to turn off the taxi lights, an ASR must be filed if you turn onto stand with lights on and blind the marshaller. I presume that's where they are on a bus.
It is one little nasty thing in FMS which is not really easy to find, especially if u do not know where to look...but anyway, I dont think, that it will be intresting 4ya m8...it's aviation terminology, that cost index i mean, u dont need it, believe me ))
Ahh, thats what lol...ok then. 19 is that number. U will see it on 0:41 on the FMS. It will be INIT page opened there, and that number is above cruising FL390.
Actually, I was on United flight 884 KORD to RJAA (772ER) and the nice flight attendant though I was adorable. So she let me tour the cockpit. I was 13 and I was flying by myself to visit my grandfather. I stayed in the cockpit for atleast 40 minutes. We talked about how they stayed on the center line while taxiing and approach charts. Pretty cool!
Its depends which sector there flying, for instance most airlines will use there pilots for a return leg (Birmingham - ibiza then ibiza - birmingham) In one day (Or night), It depends on the airline and the route i.e short or long haul, Easyjet pilots are usally home the same day because they only do short haul regonal sectors.
Some days a crew do up to 6 per day, some as little as 1 or 2....it all depends on many factors. FTL (Flight Time Limitations) dictate what flight and cabin crew are permitted to work
At around 3:40, just after turning onto the stand the Capt appears to switch the APU on and makes a comment along the lines of "ooops, I forgot to do something, taxi slowly!" (which would allow time for it to spool up) Anyone else notice that? It shows how easy it is to forget simple things when you're engaged in a bit of banter or showing off for someone in the jumpseat. Quite useful for people on CRM courses I reckon.
Funny I never noticed that until now! It might have been the navigation lights or something were on and he did not want to dazzle the ground crew. (The captain reaches to the overhead panel to do something.)
On my holiday coming back from alicante the engine fans were spinning even though the engines were not started and it was not even windy any body have any ideas as why that is?
Hi there! I work for easyJet on the ground at Bristol and have seen this neumorous times and actually asked a captain once.
All it is is the engine blades continuing to slow down and loose momentum after they have been shut down. They have to slow down at there own pace and this can take ages to do. So it isn't anything bad and you wont get sucked into the engines.

As well as slowing down after shut down, they can also be spinning because of the wind. Sometimes you can see one engine spinning while the engine on the side that is shielded by the fuselage is stopped.
very nice, hw did you get clearance to film in the cockpit? i thought since 9/11 there was a ban on allowing all ppl other than flight crew in there, n e way, non the less, very nice video, try film more like this cz its a very clear video of everything in there such as fmgs, efis, etc... :P
Are first officers allowed to taxi?

how did you get in the flightdeck? do you have a job that would alow you to do so or did you just ask?
blueb0g 3 years ago
the Civil Aviation Authority sattes that no passengers may be in the flight-deck whilst the aircraft is in the air
This video then, is probably filmed by a member of the cabin crew, air traffic controller, engineer, etc...

I'm referring to a UK registered aircraft in UK airspace.
Not sure what the rules are in different countries

At that time I was a technologist at an avionics company. I gave a pilot a tour of our simulators and he invited me to see the real thing.

Nice to see a vid of an EZY cockpit!
I hope to fly for EZY one day!
B757204 3 years ago
Is it true EZY pilots have to do about 4 flights a day?
Dougaryisnotgay 3 years ago
I am not sure. It obviously depends on the length of the flight. I would imagine they could do a few london-manchester movements a day.
sheert 3 years ago
Hey, is there a longer version of the video available? There's a few places where it cuts to a different scene.
goweb172 3 years ago
Unfortunately not. I shot it hand held with a limited number of shots and then removed that which was too shaky.
