The EVO goes through a slalom slower and generates less lateral grip. In other words, it handles worse. It accelerates slower and is slower on a track too. Good luck trying to argue otherwise. I like the EVO a lot but at some point, realism has to kick in. You are fighting a losing battle buddy. A rally car will never handle as well as a high end sports car on pavement because of the suspension setup.

I was under the impression that they were underrated due the fact that the drivers that ran these cars for like motortrend and Car and Driver were good drivers but not great. I've heard of instances were the stock car ran 11.01s in the 1/4 mile and 10.85s with drag radials. A driver mod is so important when the car doesnt lauch its self. Well at least the 2010 models come with launch control. That should help out the crappy drivers some.

2. Gas pedal is touchy as fuck.

Oh, sorry I'm posting twice in a row. The end part, when the two evos are going agianst the corvette, the corvette did not get owned. The corvette was off the throttle due to not wanting to get into any accident or anything with the jackass that was in the second evo.

I really can't tell if the corvette driver is shit or if the guy in the evo is on the throttle before he gets to the 3rd horn. If anyone says the Evo 9 is a better car in a strait line, shut the hell up because you don't know what your talking about. The Evo, though I love it dearly, is simply underpowered to a 505 hp corvette that weighs 3200 lbs. I'm sorry, owner of the Evo. I'm sure that your car is the shit. I really do like it actually.

In my opinion the all around best American stock car build so far is the Dodge Viper ACR.. It beats the corvette zr1, and many other fast cars. Check it out.
Im not so sure if the Dodge Viper ACR-X is street legal, but that is a better modified version of the ACR.

actually, comandercool101, the corvette beat the evo quite easily. the reason it looks like the evo won is because the vette has more trouble with traction at the start but once it hits 3rd gear its gone. that evo is probably as tuned as it can get. people underestemate the vette witch i dont see why cause its faster than most car that cost 2 or 3 times more than it. for the price, id rather have a vette than anything.

well i kno the vette is a great car bro. and ur right its hard to tell who won in THIS race cuz the ppl. well from my point of view it looked like the evo but it might have been the vette hard to tell. and i doubt the evo was maxed out. evos can reach 800whp with a stroker kit and a huge gt42r or even bigger turbo and a good ecu tune. of course few people mod evos that way cuz a large setup like that is more for drag. for street/track it doesnt need much power and can perform more then perfect

I was under the impression that they were underrated due the fact that the drivers that ran these cars for like motortrend and Car and Driver were good drivers but not great. I've heard of instances were the stock car ran 11.01s in the 1/4 mile and 10.85s with drag radials. A driver mod is so important when the car doesnt lauch its self. Well at least the 2010 models come with launch control. That should help out the crappy drivers some.
