Hey, very helpful! but please help, Is it possible to put a disk in my computer, open the program, use the program and all, then put the program on a jump drive and open the program on my netbook?
@PabloDiablo7767 It is possible to put a disk in the computer, open the program, use the program and all, and put the program on your jump drive.
I think you could open it on your netbook, but it depends on what the program is. 75% of the time, it will open, unless it is complex and has plugins that are installed in spaces not transferred over to the jump drive.
@TheSanguineOne Thanks, To be specific, i bought a dazzle capture card, and i have a netbook and a desktop, ( netbook has no disk drive, desktop obv does) i bought it to record ps3 gameplay. my desktop is all the way upsairs, ps3is in my basement. I need to be able to plug my dazzle in to a computer and connect it to the dazzle program (pinnacle). Pinnacle comes on a disk, so do u think that would work?
@TheSanguineOne I know there connected, what im asking you is do u think the pinnacle download program will save onto my jump stick, then i can open the program on my netbook?
@SuperGettoboy I'm not sure about iTunes, but it wouldn't hurt to try. Personally, I doubt that it would work without the installer file because iTunes typically installs plugins throughout the server, in order for it to function properly. Copying the Program Files folder will not be successful . . . I suggest downloading the installer file for that one.
@lik553 Some computers, like ones in offices or schools, do not allow copying programs from finger drives to computers. This is a result of security settings on that computer. If you have access to change settings, then you can open the Control Panel and go to the Security Center from there.
There are so many possible factors, so it can be difficult to diagnose the particular problem you have. I hope I've helped.
@binhaze Windows Media Player should work, but if it doesn't, then you may need to download free alternatives (i.e., VLC Media Player) because some programs need to be installed in order to work and cannot simply be moved.
@XxIronManxX3 I recommend that you export the program to the Program Files and right-click the main .exe file there and make a shortcut from there instead.
Shortcuts are simple files that say "start (program)." You'll need to export the program itself to Computer>Program Files, if you wish it to work.
Because of the tags at the end of video descriptions, all links and connections in the column of videos to your right are intertwined . . . I've gone from videos from the coldest city on Earth to vids of people wrapping chickens in plastic.
@movieshop1000 Some programs will be able to function perfectly, after being moved to another server. Others, those that need to establish a connection with the computer's IP or specific settings, may need to be reset to adjust to the other computer's specifications.
@honeytos28 Theoretically, it should be able to work . . . But I'm afraid that some products need a single file to install a program. You could try it, and if you do, find the .exe file that starts the program in the flash drive. That is the file that should activate it.
@FxAxGxGxOxT Yes, but any problems with the connection between the newly added operating software and the existing software would compromise the entire operation. As long as the operating systems are the same, and the system that needs the operating-system files is open to receiving the file -- everything should be satisfactory.
Wait can this copy a version of Windows Movie Maker to my laptop because my laptop cant record from a capture card, like a dazzle, but my computer can.
@DaPhant0mKilla You cannot install Windows Movie Maker from another version of Windows onto another because the Windows programs function respectively to their operating systems; therefore, installing some other version of Windows Movie Maker onto another computer would not yield any change. Hmmmm . . . In order to install it, you need to manipulate the registry of the current Windows Movie Maker on that laptop, but that is a complicated task. Software technicians at Best Buy are experts! =)
Thank you very much! My friend's B-day party is tomorrow and i had no idea what to give him, I wanted to give him a copy of photoshop because he's always wanted it and now i can!!
BUT . . . there is one problem that I MUST address: Photoshop can be simply copied from computer-to-computer, but the activation key is not copied along with the program because the serial key is stored in the individual computer's registry. Before giving your friend Photoshop, I suggest either finding a torrent file for a cracked version of Photoshop or finding a serial to give your friend.
Also, remind your friend not to update cracked software! :D
@love4knex Well, keygens that are downloaded from the actual website of the software crackers tend to be safe and secure . . . BUT, the majority of keygens from third-party sites or file-sharing services such as DepositFiles, MediaFire, MegaUpload, and ThePirateBay are unsafe.
Since they are illegal, hackers tend to manipulate the files and embed a trojan because keygens are simple programs that make a registry change to validate software, so they can also make other unsafe changes, as well.
Hey umm would you know how to do this for Windows Movie Maker? because i have it on my PC but i want it on my laptop aswell and my laptop upgrades to a newer movie maker but i dont want that one, i want the same one as my PC.. please help me :(
@PreOwnedv Unfortunately, Windows Movie Maker is a Windows application, so any updates that are automatically installed will upgrade this program to a newer version . . . but there is a way! [=
If you go to "Control Panel > [Classic View] System > Automatic Updates > Notify me but don't install," you can monitor the updates and cancel the one for Windows Movie Maker.
@ps3viewsmegaps3: In order to install the programs on another PC, you must visit "C:\Program Files\" on the Computer menu of the new server. Then, you click on the newly uploaded program and search for its application in the folder you need to open. Once you open the application (i.e., MSWORD.EXE), you will basically continue through the reinstallation process, which is relatively similar to any other set-up.
Can you give email for asking questions, tks

XxIronManxX3 1 month ago
@XxIronManxX3 Some programs need to be installed with an installer because it may use plugins in various locations around the computer.
I'm afraid that you may need the installer itself b/c the program relies on various reg keys and plugins somewhere else in the computer.
