A girl would understand me, and i will write this for our own good:
having heard this and having listening to PT's old stuff for two hours non fucking stop, i just had a drop of wetness seen on my jeans.. sexless sex culmination...
its artists tribute to pf i think,as being probably influenced by the band...to me it was always something i wouldnt mind pink floyd to have made...they didnt so thanks steven...
I've always loved these tracks from PT. I do wish they had made "Up the Downstair" a double album as Steven originally wanted to, because these tracks would've made that album even more magnificent. Also...what in the hell is that clip at 6:04? I was so engaged in the peaceful music and imagery and then that specific clip comes out of no where and scares the crap out of me. :D
I like the music but I must say I get annoyed with the people talking... specially for how they say what they say etc... I hope I'm not alone cuz I don't wanna sound like a douche bag :|
Incredible song to trip to. I can be having a terrible trip and as soon as i put this song on i begin to enjoy it. Amazing how much music effects the mind.
Listened to Voyage 34 the first time while falling asleep last night. I didn't see colors like I was tripping, but I could tell that my mind was messing with me. Love music with that kind of power.
I have thought about trying to complete the song and doing all the phases. The 1st part of phase II for me was the most inspiring and possibly the easiest.
The first time i watched this video i was pretty baked. When it got to the part from Space Odyssey my eyebrows rose at the same time as the character's, effectively making it a mirror and throwing my mind for a loop, however brief! The imagery of an astronaut in takeoff (i'm guessing that's what was occuring) caused my heart and mind to expand! Fascinating song! Love the chunky "motor" sound of the bass!
@penguinxxxx People these days dont understand the difference between Ripping an artist off and being influenced. Probably due to the fact that mainstream music is all a rip of of each other.
Big difference between Porcupine Tree music and Pink Floyd, even if they do have occassional times where you can hear the influence of David Gilmour
@penguinxxxx thank you thank you. i grow tired of the comparison. sure they both experiment with ambient noise but pink floyd had more funk influence over all and pt has more metal influence (now, less so earlier on). but i suppose im preaching to the choir on this one.
